DescriptionStudies the relationship of existing and emerging processes and technologies to manufacturing strategy and supply chain-related functions. Aligning resources with the strategic plan, configuring and integrating operating processes to support the strategic plan, and implementing change are covered. This is a self-paced, independent study course. After the first session, students set their own attendance and study schedule.

Target PopulationThis course, Strategic Management of Resources, is one of the five classes in the Material Planning & Control Certificate. The certificate includes a focused set of specialty courses in areas of skills needed in the workplace. This certificate is targeted for students that are interested in pursuing a career in the operations management area of a company. Some positions that are in that field include production scheduler, buyer, and materials manager.
