School Field Trip
Objective of the Trip:

Detail Plan:
a) Nature of trip, Regular Curricular and Extra-Curricular.
b) Trip destination and duration.
c) Dates for trip- they should not clash with important activities of the school or events of
national or social importance like religious festival etc.
d) Necessary approvals, form school authorities, parents. Writing letter to parents regarding
planed trip.
e) Mode of transport , ticketing/ advance booking.f) Meals and lodging facility at destination.
g) Formation of student group and appointing senior student / staff member as a supervisor.
h) Preparing the list of students participating in trip with emergency contact detail and relevant
medical details of students.
i) Preparing the budget for the trip. Considering all expected expenditures and accordingly
deciding the amount to be collected for participating students. (sample available)
j) Charting the detail itinerary and sharing with all participating students and providing them
the copy. (sample available).
k) First aid medical kit.
l) Preparing the check list for all activities (sample available).

Problem faced in trip
Meals It was difficult to arrange food which was acceptable to all. Some were strict vegetarian and
some wanted non veg in all their meals. Some had preference for fast food and some had choice for
full meal.
Local travel in local travel in city it was difficult to find local conveyance to move as number of
students were could not be accommodated in 2- or 3 taxies / autos.
Managing the time schedule- students were spending more than schedule time at any place. It was
really to difficult to adhere to the time schedule of the day.
