We are reaching out to you on behalf of the Eden All Sports Booster Club Inc., a 501(c)-3 organization, working towards purchasing a new outdoor scoreboard and sound system, as well as an indoor scoreboard and sound system. The 30-year-old scoreboard stopped working during the 2012 football season and is not repairable. The indoor system is of a similar age and we fear is not far behind. We believe the terrific student athletes of Eden and their families deserve at the very least a functional scoreboard and sound system. Our organization is dedicated to the process of making this happen but we need your help.

LEGISLATOR MILLS ANNOUNCES COLLINS LIBRARY BREAKS RECORD

WITH 2013 FUNDRAISER Erie County Legislator John J. Mills is pleased to an-nounce that the 7th annual Collins Public Library Hot Dog Roast Fundraiser raised $1,116 to support the library’s ef-forts to install self-checkout kiosks. “This is the seventh year I have hosted a fundraiser at the Collins Library and the community once again showed their strong dedication to the library. Thanks to the community’s support, the Collins Library has set a new personal best with $1,116 raised,” said Legislator Mills. “Under the leadership of Library Director Karen McClure, I know these funds will go a long way to benefit the library.” During the check presentation, McClure explained the branch is preparing to install new self-checkout kiosks, which will improve efficiency at the library. The funds would be used to purchase desks or tables, along with other necessary accessories to operate the kiosks. “The Collins Library would like to thank Legislator Mills for donating his time and all the proceeds from his hot dog roast. The funds raised through his continuing dedication enable us to fulfill projects that add to the li-brary and the community it represents. The fundraiser itself is always a celebration of good food, entertainment, and a gathering of friends and neighbors. We always have a wonderful time when he hosts these picnics at our li-brary. I look forward to continuing the tradition with him in the future,” said Library Director McClure. Legislator Mills’ Hot Dog Roast Fundraisers have raised nearly $40,000 for the libraries in his district.
