    Welcome! Hi! My name is Claudia and Im Lindasgood friend. I live and work in Medellin

    so I want to tell Linda more about this

    wonderful city.

    In this learning material, we are going

    to learn how to describe a place,

    town or neighborhood by using some

    adjectives for describing places.

    Lets start a new adventure!

    Now, its denitely time to know more about the neighborhood and the citywhere Im going to live, lets search for some information here on my laptop.

    Lets see what information we can nd about my new city: Medellin.

    M etroIt is part of the massive transportation system of Medellin.

    Explora park

    It is a very interactive center for kids and adults.

    Botero squareLocated outside the Antioquia Museum. It has more than 23 sculptures of fat

    shapes.

    Great! Medellns Metro

    is very convenient. A

    lot of people use it

    every day so it must be

    crowded and noisy all

    the time.

    Nice place! Medelln

    has a lot of interesting

    places. This park looks

    very modern. I cant

    wait to see it.

    This place has a

    lot of beautiful

    sculptures. It is

    amazing and very

    artistic. I love art!

    Wow! I think this is the right decision to make. Medellin has a lot of great places to

    have fun. Its indeed a good place to live!

    My friend Claudia lives and works in Medelln. Maybe, she can give me more

    information about the city. Lets call her!

    Linda: Hi, Claudia, how are you? It is Linda speaking.

    Claudia:Oh! Hi, Linda. Its been a while, good hearing from you again. How are

    you?

    Linda: Very well, I cant complain. I have some good news. I am moving to Medellin

    next week. Im very excited so I need you to help me out with some information

    about my new neighborhood.

    Claudia:Oh sure, not a problem! Where is your new apartment?

    Linda: It is located in a place called El Poblado

    Claudia:Well, that is a beautiful place. Its located south of Medellin and is a very

    well-known neighborhood. It has a lot of nature paths and parks. Its also a very

    safe area.

    Linda: And, what about the nightlife?

    Claudia: Nightlife is very lively, since there are many popular bars and clubs around

    the Poblado Park.

    Linda: And what about malls?

    Claudia: Well, there is no problem with that because in this place there are great

    boutiques and shopping malls.

    Linda:That sounds great! Thank you so much. Your information was very helpful.
