To celebrate the release of latest Studio Ghibli masterpiece, Isao Takahata’s The Tale of the Princess Kaguya, we invited our readers to design a fan whose pattern was inspired by the strong female characters who pack out the entire Ghibli universe. We joined up with Studio Canal to premier The Tale of the Princess Kaguya at 71a, where we provided sushi to guests and hosted an origami workshop.

Drawing on O’Neill’s heritage as the creators of the wetsuit, TCOLondon produced a two-year multi-platform campaign focusing on modern-day makers. Profiled artisans created original artwork and helped spread the word via a loyal social media fan-base. The campaign included high-end video content which ensured a strong take-up by other media outlets, and sold-out exhibitions in London and Munich.
