There aren’t high MOUNTAINS.

The most important massif is GENNARGENTU (about 1.834 m s.l.m.)

Sardinia is one of the five italian AUTONOMOUS REGIONS, along with Valle d'Aosta, Trentino Alto Adige, Friuli Venezia Giulia and Sicily.

ECONOMYThe primary sector is very important: goats and sheep rearing (good production of cheese).

Agricolture brings: vegetables, olive trees… sardinan wines are very good and famous. Sardinia is famous for corks

Still important is the MINING INDUSTRIES (coal, lead, zinc, gold.Other industrial activities are food, mechanical and chemical.

Craft industry includes rugs, jewellery, textile, lacework , basket making, and coral.But…the most important industry is TOURISM.
