Able Landscaping is a full-service Commercial Landscaping Maintenance and Snow Removal business serving Southern Alberta Since 1988. Owner, Wayne Thomas brings over three decades of leadership experience to his team as a certified Horticulturist and Aborist, personally overseeing Able Landscaping’s commitment to proven innovation, increased productivity and superior results.

Coordinating and responding to ever-changing weather conditions requires a highly experienced, reliable and dedicated team. Able landscaping strictly adheres to all training and compliance standards; all personnel are fully trained and certified, they receive extensive safety and equipment training several times per season.
We believe that investing in our team members by providing regular training and evaluations are pivotal to maintaining the high level of quality that has become synonymous with Able landscaping, all while ensuring everything we do is well above the safety standards at all times.

Servicing commercial clients such as the City of Calgary requires an impressive and vast equipment arsenal. Our ability equip and accommodate an extensive array of maintenance requirements positions Able as one of the only “full service” commercial landscapers, virtually eliminating the use of subcontractors and increasing the efficiency of our work. Our continued investment in quality equipment means we are able to accommodate even the most specialized landscaping requirements, such as repairing cement and asphalt, pavement sweeping, and line painting.
In 30 years of gold standard service we have learned a very simple formula: invest and re-invest in your team and equipment. Environmental Practices
At Able Landscaping, our environmental practices are second to none.
We ensure that zero debris from the maintenance of your property terminates in the City landfill. To achieve this goal, our standard work procedures include:
• Chipping and reusing all cuttings from pruning, shrubs and trees for shrub beds, maintaining moist soil and reducing the irrigation costs and demands.
• Recycling or reusing parking lot gravel (sweepings), asphalt and cement for construction fill
• Equipping cutting units with mulch decks so all grass and leaves are mulched on-site throughout the year, maintaining moist soil and reducing irrigation costs (thatch).
• Maintaining office and on-site recycling facilities.
• The use of electrical hybrids by site supervisors for all site inspections and supervision.
This has been a pivotal year for the company in growth, but also in development of our infrastructure and business processes. We will continue to focus on our internal systems over the next year.
Specific growth areas include EARTHMOVING, ASPHALT & ROAD BUILDING. Where ABLE is expecting a 6.7% increase in 2016 projects.
In previous years, Able has lead & managed construction projects around commercial Calgary. Able is reintroducing their Construction Division due to popular demand. This is very exciting as ABLE is highly creative and builds not only environmentally sustainable projects but also maintains a level of quality workmanship and ethics that exceed expectations and will be an area to monitor closely in the competitive Calgary market.
