Adam and Eve Enjoyed All God Made; Then, Adam and Eve Disobeyed!Review of Creation Bible Story (3)

Garden of Eden with Adam and Eve behind bushes, TKGE. Point to animals.

We've been learning how God made everything in six days. On Day six he made the animals; and he made a man and a woman. Who can tell me their names?

Point to Adam and Eve. Very good. Adam and Eve. Then we learned that God put them in a beautiful garden – the Garden of Eden! Let's do the motions of this rhyme together!

Let's Rhyme! Adam and Eve's Beautiful World

Adam and Eve had a gorgeous world to explore! Make a large circular motion with hand

With all these things, who could want more? Hold hands out to side, palms up.

They could listen to the birds; What a beautiful sound! Cup your ear.

They could watch the animals run 'round and 'round. Make circles with hand.

I bet they played with some of the animals too. Run in place.

They could watch the clouds in the sky so blue! Point up and look up.

They could pick flowers; Here, these are for you! Pretend to hold out flowers.

They could adopt a kitty that says, “mew mew”. Pretend to hold and pet kitty.

They could go to the river for a swim. And best of all... Make swimming motions with arms.

When God came to visit, they could walk with him! Walk in place.

God's One Rule: Rhymes for Adam and Eve(4)

Picture of Adam and Eve in the garden (Close-up).

Adam and Eve enjoyed exploring the beautiful world God had made. I’m sure they loved listening the birds singing. They felt the soft breezes blowing and the warm sunshine. I think they probably played with the animals too. Do you know what their really special activity was? When God came to visit them in the evening, they could walk and talk with him! What could be better than that!

Stand-up Garden scene. Say the rhyme 2 X, letting children repeat each part. Point to the Tree of KGE.

God loved Adam and Eve, so he gave them a rule to protect them: God told them they could eat the fruit from any of the trees, except for ONE. This is what God told Adam and Eve, “I have given you many fruit trees. You may eat from any of these; But not this one in the middle please”.

Point to the trees as you talk about them. Hold up one finger when saying “One little rule”.

They could eat the fruit from this tree, and this one, and this one, and even this one, but NOT the fruit from THIS tree in the middle of the garden. That was the tree of Knowing Good and Evil. God told them, that if they ate from THAT tree, they would die. Do you think they could handle that one little rule? Let’s listen to the rest of the story and find out.

Pass out some plastic fruit, letting kids pick, and pretend to eat together.

How fun it was for Adam and Eve to taste the delicious fruit from the different trees in the garden! Peaches, cherries, oranges, apples, plums, guava, pineapple. Yum! Who wants to taste a piece of fruit? I’m going to try this one. Um-m-m! That’s yummy! How good God was to give them so many delicious fruits! Adam and Eve had everything they needed. How happy they were in the beautiful garden! Nothing would ever spoil their perfect, gorgeous world...at least that’s what it seemed like. Let's see what happens next.
