Candidates will critically explore a wide range of pedagogies, resources and supports related to teaching LGBTQ students. Strategies explored will foster a sense of partnership and collaboration with families, school/board personnel and communities. Ongoing critical examination of personal biases, privilege and the importance of allyship will constitute a significant element of this course as candidates engage in various learning experiences and reflect on new learning.
