FirsttheScionsofIronmadeawayfromtheIronHandsatfullspeed.WhileindividualMarineswouldhesitatetofireattheirbrothers, theyhadnoexpectationsthattheIron Hands council would do the same. So usingcontacts that the Ulgarvus had made in the AdeptusMechanicustheygotsuppliedinfewplacesoutofsightwhich made their journey faster. Officially theMechanicusdidn'tevenknowabouttheScionsofIron.

During this time the new Council for Scions of Ironconvened.NowastheyspedawayfromtheIronHandsthey had to change the fleet frombeing part of IronHands into Scions of Iron fleet. The armours of theindividualmarinesandallvehicleswereallstrippedandrepainted easily. Equally easy was it to change theidentification codes of the spacecrafts. Battle Bargewould now be called 'Hammer of the Emperor' andmedicalshipwasrenamedto'DeathsLiberation'.

Next issue was the organisation of the chapter. Theydecidedtofollowthecodexmorestrictlythanthe IronHands and thus the Scions of Iron planned for 10companies. However since they lacked marines tocreate all only few companies were created. 1stcompanywasformedfromthesmallamountofveteransthattheyhad(mainlypowerarmouredmarinesbutfewterminatorsuitedonesaswell).Battlecompanies2and
