Adhesives not serious competitors to conventional fasteners, says report

Published at the end of 1984, EEC Industrial Fastener Market - - E741 is a comprehensive industrial market research study from Frost Et Sullivan Limited. V~hin the report of some 300 pages, little space is devoted exclusively to the adhesives market. While the advantages of adhesive bonding (such as the even bonding

stated that all sectors of the industrial fastener market are expected to suffer from increased competition from adhesives, welding and specially designed interlocking parts, but this effect is not expected to be great.

Adhesive tape company moves to new premises

Increased demand for its products, claims Specialist Adhesive Tapes, Birmingham, UK, has resulted in the company moving to larger premises. After only four years in operation, the company announces that it has achieved a turnover of more than £1M. Specialists in protective tape, the company supplies a comprehensive range of self-adhesive products. The new £100 000 site will house a workshop containing cutting and laminating machinery, a test laboratory and warehousing.
