Welcome to the 7th annual african education Week

This year’s conference theme on positive leadership to improve the standard of education is timely and relevant. We have recognised the growing complexity and challenges of leading and managing educational organisations in the midst of relentless change and innovation. It has been argued that one way to learn is to receive advice from successful leaders based on their experiences and wisdom and this year we are proud to introduce you to over 80 leaders from varying backgrounds within the education sector who will discuss the challenges they have faced and the actions they have taken to make their institutions more effective.

For me personally, my favourite part of the event is the interaction and audience participation where you can share your experiences and seek advice from our experts and your fellow peers. Join us at the Learning Expo where you can have your questions answered at the ‘App Lab’, which will be manned by educational technology experts who can give you practical, live demonstrations. Attend the ‘TeachMeet’ sessions which will take discussions out of the conference and onto the Learning Expo floor allowing teachers to share good practice and practical innovations that they have delivered on in the last year. And don’t miss the free ‘Learning Expo Seminars’ and the ‘Speed Networking’ where you can expand your network and win amazing spot prizes.

Payment of the full delegate fee is due 14 days from the invoice date, or immediately with registration if the booking is made within one month of the event. In the event that payment has not been received before the start of the event, delegates will be refused entry. We recommend you check with your finance department that payment has been made before travelling to the conference. Service charge: A 5% service charge will be applied. Teachers and principals from schools are exempt.Cancellation policy: Cancellations made within 48 hours of receipt of the completed registration form will be eligible for a full refund. Cancellations received in writing more than one month prior to the start of the event will be refunded less a 50% cancellation fee. Cancellations received in writing within one month of the start date of the event will receive no refund and registrants will be liable for payment of 100% of the invoiced amount. A substitute delegate can be named at any time before the event starts and no fees will be applied to this.No-Shows: Registrants who do not attend the event after the cancellation date will be liable for payment of 100% of the invoiced amount. Important notes: This booking form constitutes a legally binding contract. It may be necessary for reasons beyond the control of Clarion Events to change the content and timing of the programme, the speakers, the date or the venue. In the unlikely event of the programme being cancelled, Clarion Events will issue a credit note or make a full refund but disclaim any further liability.
