As a rule, any flat fan or solidstream nozzle can be operatedwith air instead of liquid.However, you’ll obtain the bestresults using the nozzle de -signs we specially engineeredfor applications of compres-sed air or saturated steam. Forfurther details, please refer tothe next pages.In addition to air, various noz -zle types are also suited forinjecting saturated steam.Typical applications of Lechlerair nozzles are, for instance,efficient blowing off and blow -ing out, cooling, drying orcleaning.

Multi-channel air nozzles

In many industries and work -shops compressed air hasbecome an indispensabletool.Compressed air is needed forcleaning, blowing off, drying,conveying and for numerousother applications. Where uncontrolled com -pressed air is applied, veryoften annoying, high-frequencyhiss noises arise, which maycause serious harm to hearing.These »noises« are producedby turbulences generated atthe air outlet. Their intensitydepends on the shape of thenozzle orifice and on the airpressure. This means: the better andstronger the air jet is sup -posed to be, the higher thehealth-injuring noise level andthe higher the air consump tionand its cost.The solution: Lechler multi-channel air nozzles, fea-turing a significantly redu-ced sound level, highblowing power and low airconsumption.The performance of multi-channel air nozzles is basedon partitioning the air inflowinto single air jets. 16 air chan-nels, arranged to ensure opti-mum flow conditions, providefor a particularly uniform,straight and powerful overallair jet.

In comparison to single-holeair nozzles the advantagesare as follows:

n Reduction of the noiselevel of up to 12 dB

n Low service air pressurewith the same blowingpower

n Lower air consumption

n Better blowing effect over alonger reach

n Lower operating costs
