Airbus Helicopters, Vector Aerospace and Rockwell Collins sign Pro
Line Fusion® cockpit upgrade agreement 2015 - 06 - 16 -

Airbus Helicopters, Vector Aerospace and Rockwell Collins have
entered into an agreement to jointly develop and market the
scalable and flexible Pro Line Fusion integrated avionics solution
to upgrade Airbus Helicopters platforms. “Pro Line Fusion provides
Airbus Helicopters with one of the most advanced avionics and the
highest level of efficiency for the rotary wing cockpit,” said Troy
Brunk, vice president and general manager of Airborne Solutions for
Rockwell Collins. “The enhanced situational awareness features
provided by Pro Line Fusion will result in reduced pilot workload
and greatly increase flight
safety for operators of Airbus Helicopters platforms.” The first
platforms targeted for the upgrades will be AS332 / 532 MK1
helicopters, with the first implementation expected in the summer

The French Ministry of Defence has renewed a multi-year contract
with Daher for the continued operational support of its TBM 700
fleet. The deal was awarded by the French military procurement
agency’s SIMMAD maintenance organisation following an 18–month
tender process. It covers the airframe, engine and propeller on all
27 of the military’s high-speed, single-engined turboprops. The
aircraft are used by the French armed forces for VIP transportation
and training. The inventory consists of 15 TBM 700As used by the
French air force; five 700As and eight TBM 700Bs deployed by the
French army aviation; and four 700As assigned to the French flight
test centre. “These TBM 700s were among the first military aircraft
for which the French armed forces outsourced a maintenance

With a little help from the U.S. Congress and the potential for
international orders, Boeing is bullish about prospects for its
international fighters. A year ago, the fate of the F/A-18
production line in St. Louis was uncertain. Pentagon orders were
trailing off, and the Navy again did not formally request money for
the platform for fiscal 2016. The Navy, did, however, ask lawmakers
informally, calling the F/A-18 an unfunded priority, and all four
of the U.S. Congress’s defense committees have recommended
purchasing as much as 12 additional Super Hornets. One committee is
seeking additional EA-18G Growlers to make up for electronic
warfare programs that the Navy had requested one year ago. “That
