    Participants supported the realignment of boundariesbefore considering consolidation and closure options

    The criteria that were identified by participants as most

    important for consideration shouldconsolidation/closure be considered were: utilization,facility condition and school performance.

    There was general support for the addition of a gender

    specific school for young men. Results were inconclusive about the need to enhance

    the availability of athletic programs and facilitiesdistrictwide.

    There was support, in the event of the closure of aschool facility, for the following alternate uses:

    Renovate for a different type of educational use

    Reconfigure for use as administrative or district support space

    Sell or lease the property

    Use in partnership for community use

    There was not support for razing or demolishingexisting buildings.

    There were a variety of additional options proposed byparticipants that have been communicated to the taskforce.
