Improving the nutritional status of children in classes I-V in Government, Local Body and Government aided schools, and EGS and AIE centers.Encouraging poor children, belonging to disadvantaged sections, to attend school more regularly and help them concentrate on classroom activities.Providing nutritional support to children of primary stage in drought affected areas during summer vacation.

The Akshaya Patra Foundation was a derived inspiration from a commitment taken up by his Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada in 2000.

VISION:“No child in India shall be deprived of

education because of hunger“. Once the Mid-Day Meal Scheme was mandated

centrally by the Government of India in 2003, Akshaya Patra partnered with the Government to serve cooked meals at all Government schools.

It’s to rectify the trade distortive effect of dumping and re-establish fair trade. The use of anti dumping measure as an instrument of fair competition is permitted by the WTO.

So, anti dumping is an instrument for ensuring fair trade and is not a measure of protection for the domestic industry
