1) AlchemistAccelerator is a venture-backed accelerator focusedon startups that are developing enterprise technologies.Alchemisthasareputationamonginvestorsasaplacetosourcedeals.ItsbackersincludemajorenterpriseplayerssuchasCiscoSystems, Foundation Capital, Khosla Ventures, Salesforce andSiemens.

2) Announced in March of this year, the members of Class XIIIconsisted of 12 diverseUS-based startups; the San Francisco–based accelerator program ran for six months. At Demo Day,the founders of the participating companies presented theirbusinessestoSiliconValleythoughtleaders,venturecapitalists,entrepreneurs,mediaandothers.

As cloud technology services have increased the computingpower that businesses can afford in recent years, data services andenterprisesoftwareprovidershaveattractedmoreandmore funding.Thenumbers back this up: data from research firm CB Insights indicate that,amongthe200biggesttechnologycompanyexitsfrom2009to2015,therewasaroughly70/30splitbetweenenterpriseandconsumerbusinesses.

• Choice AI is an artificial intelligence–based, real-time shoppingassistant for e-commerce websites. Powered by predictivemerchandise analytics, the company’s technology helps onlineretailers engage and convert online shoppers using virtual salesassistance, personalized recommendations, engagement triggers,product discovery and email personalization. The platform issupported by Shopify, Magento and BigCommerce. Choice AI iscurrentlyinprivatebeta,pilotingwith87e-commercestores.

• Verecho is a mobile-first employee directory and communicationtool.Theplatformenablescompaniestoautomatecommunication,productivity and engagement tools with employees via a mobile-friendly platform. Verecho centralizes all important information bycompanyandbyoffice tomake it available toeveryoneviamobiledevice and desktop. The company launched in June, and has seensignificantcustomerprogress,witha42%increaseinmonthlyactiveusers.

• Lendsnap streamlines significant consumer transactions such asmortgages by linking borrower financial and employment data toprovide real-time, automated qualifying documentation. By linkingwiththeborrower’s financialandpayroll institutions,LendsnapcansecurelydeliveroriginalW2s,paystubs,bankstatementsandfulltaxreturns inminutes instead of days. For correspondent lenders andbanks, Lendsnap claims it automates a job that takes 20%–40% oftheirsales teams’ time,reducingoperationalandcompliancecosts.For borrowers, the process becomes a more quick, safe andseamlessexperience.

• LeadIQprovidessalesprospectingandautomationtohelpsalesandmarketingteamscapture leads fromsocialnetworks.LeadIQtriple-verifies every email, with an industry-best 95% delivery on allverified leads. The company pulls company info and social activityfrom multiple sources to create a comprehensive profile, so salesteamscanprequalifyleads.Thecompanyhasmorethan100payingcustomers,includingDropbox,OracleandGiftHub.

• Keewi isanInternet-of-Thingssoftwarecompanythatusesbigdataand machine learning to achieve maximum energy efficiency incommercial buildings. Currently, plug devices (those that arepluggedintoawalloutlet)accountfor40%–60%ofabuilding’stotalenergy consumption, and their energy costs are increasing fasterthanthoseofventilationandlighting.Theyarehardtomeasureandmanage and, according to Keewi, hold over $40 billion in energyefficiency savings potential. Keewi’s hardware and softwareplatforms seek to address these key issues. Buildingmanagers cantrackenergyusageandtailorconsumptiontodemandthroughtheirmobile device and web browser. The companyprovidesanopenAPItomakeiteasyforB2Bmarketplacestoofferfinancingseamlessly.Thecompanyhasfoundthatitsanalyticslowerdefaultriskby30%.Currently,thecompanyhassixpayingpilotswithlargefinancialinstitutionsandcorporations.

• RankMyApp is a tool that helps apps garner more organicdownloadsbyrankinghigherinappstores.TheBrazil-basedstartupusesaproprietaryalgorithmthatmonitorsandsuggestskeywordstohelpmarketersselect thebestones tohelpboostanapp’s rankingand findability in the app stores. The company has partneredwithGoogle,theIBMGlobalEntrepreneurprogramandYahoo.Accordingtothecompany’sfounder,LeandroScalise,76%ofpeopledownloadtheappsthatarerankedinthefirstfivepositionsinoneoftheappstores. Sephora used the company’s services, and has seen 95%higherorganicdownloadsinthepasttwomonths.

• Data Fellas provides theAdalog Suite todata science teams in theinsurance and health sectors. The solution provides the shortestpath from the business question to the delivery of a value-addedservicefordecisionmaking.

• GoodTime.ioautomatescandidateinterviewschedulingbyusinganintelligent matching system that syncs with a team’s existingcalendar system to find the optimal times to schedule interviews.Whilewaitingforcompaniestogetbacktothem,47%ofcandidateswhoare in therecruitingprocessendupacceptingother jobs.This
