Rice County Chemical Health Coalition

Working to reduce youth alcohol, tobacco and other drug (ATOD) use

Established in 2004 and working with partners including healthcare providers, law enforcement, parents, media, schools and others.

Secured a Drug Free Communities grant in Faribault to strengthen and expand our work.

Research shows that multiple strategies employed in multiple sectors of the community result in effective prevention.

Multiple strategies for ATOD prevention require multiple partners…..no one can do it all!

The Coalition has multiple partners representing multiple sectors.

We can always use more!

Youth in Faribault are harmed by their use of

alcohol, tobacco and other drugs.

Mini Grant Opportunities

RCCHC will award money (up to $200) to projects and activities that:

Connect Faribault youth with their community

Provide training and opportunities for youth leadership experiences and positions

Connect Faribault youth to caring adults or older youth

Provide opportunities to engage Faribault youth in service-learning
