Counsels patients by relaying physician's orders and answering questions about upcoming appointments or surgeries; printing p rescriptions as advised by the physicians and receiving provider signatures before delivering to patients. Schedules surgeries and appointments with the patient and notifying patients on proper pre-op preparation; verifying appointment dates and times with patients; preparing patient charts upon arrival for scheduled appointments, ordering lab and serum testing for pat ients during appointments and collecting urine samples to perform drug screening; Printing informational letters for patients and explaining content of consent forms for procedures, labs, or serum testing; successfully obtain signatures of consent from patients. Dispenses medications to patients in office and printing medication labels with instructions; Recording all medications being dispensed to patient and delivering directly to patients during their appointment; Keeps dispensed medications readily available by count ing medication inventory currently in stock; placing orders for medications that are running low on supply, or that are out of stock; verify ing receipt of shipment to verify correct order has been received; Properly organizing medications in storage for future dispensing.
