Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves Vs

Aladdin I read the book Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves and watched Aladdin. I’m going to talk about the many similarities and differences between these folk tales. You will find these stories are very much alike and different.

The book Ali Baba and Aladdin are both old Arabian folk tales. These stories were told a long time ago in places like Yemen. They tell people that the greedy will be punished, the unselfish rewarded.

Another similarity is they both have caves. These caves are boy magical and have many priceless treasures. In Ali Baba and Aladdin there is a greedy person trying to get treasure or treasures out of the cave.

My last similarity is Ali Baba and Aladdin both have thieves and villains. Two of the thieves in Aladdin are Abu and Aladdin. One of the thieves in Ali Baba is the chief thief. Two of the sneaky villains are Jafar and the parrot. The villains in Ali Baba are the forty thieves and the chief thief.

A difference between Ali Baba and Aladdin is Ali Baba is text and Aladdin is a cartoon. You have to picture the book Ali Baba because Ali Baba is text. Aladdin is easier to picture because Aladdin is the cartoon.

Another difference is Aladdin has a monkey and Ali Baba doesn’t. The monkey helps Aladdin but in Ali Baba there’s a woman who helps him in many

cases. The woman uses her brain to fool the thieves. In Aladdin the monkey uses his skills to help Aladdin.

My last difference is in Ali Baba there’s no music and Aladdin has a lot of music. Ali Baba doesn’t have music because paper doesn’t have speakers. In Aladdin you can feel the mood of the story because of music. The music depends on how well things are going in the story. The main singers are the gene, the queen, and Aladdin.

Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves and Aladdin have many similarities and differences. Ali Baba is in text and Aladdin is cartoon. I like the cartoon because it is easier to picture the setting and you know what the characters look like.
