This is an establishing shot clearly because we see the setting of the movie. From this shot we can establish straight

away that this film will be a kind of sci-fi film and could be based on another planet. We can also see from this shot that it is dark, which brings about a cense of horror and fear factor

into the film.

This scene brings about a cense of mystery, as we can see the person on the landing is darkened by the lack of light. This automatically makes us feel suspicious and uneasy about this character. The

character also reinforces the suspicion by wearing dark clothing which shields himself from the light.

The ending of the trailer is very effective as the whole trailer goes silent again and then the final jump comes as the monster launches itself at our screen

and give a personal effect to the trailer. This is very typical of horror movies and

will be considered to be used in ours.
