The Comforts rented 8

tables and 32 chairs. Each

table had four chairs.

Their daughter and her

husband arrived with 2

children.

THEY WANT TO PUSH 2 TABLES

TOGETHER SO THEY CAN SIT WITH

MR. AND MRS. COMFORT.

WILL THEY STILL HAVE ENOUGH

CHAIRS FOR EVERYONE?

YES BUT…………….

Mrs. Comforts brother and

his wife, their daughter

, her husband, and their

twin boys showed up!

They wanted to sit

together so, they pushed

two more tables together.

They pushed 2 more

tables together to make

room BUT…..

WAS THERE ENOUGH?

Before they could get the

chairs rearranged……

The Comfort’s next door neighbors

with their daughter and son came.

LET’S THINK ABOUT THIS???

The comfort’s their daughter her husband and their two kids make

6 people.

Mrs. Comforts brother and his wife, their daughter , her

husband, and their twin boys showed up! That is 6 more people.

Next came the Comfort’s next door neighbors and their son and

daughter. That’s 4 more people.

Altogether there are 16 people so far.

HOW CAN WE SEAT 16 PEOPLE?

They decided to make two

groups of four chairs.

THIS MADE ROOM FOR 16

PEOPLE.

BUT THEY INVITED 32 PEOPLE.

COMFORTS MOM AND DAD CAME.

put all eight tables in a long

line.

THERE ARE NOW 18 PEOPLE.

YES! IT WORKED!

BUT……………….

The next thing you know

Mrs. Comfort’s mother and

father arrived.

WHERE WILL THEY SIT?

Gramps suggested that

they split the long line of

tables in half and they will

all have a seat.

Will this work?

Lets see……

We had 16 people and

4 more came so there

are 20 people now.

SO WILL THIS WORK?

YES!

This seats 20 people.

BUT………..

No sooner than they all

sat down the Comfort’s son

, his wife, and twin

daughters came.

Where will they sit?

The comforts son

suggested that they divide

the two lines of table into 4

pairs.

Will this work?

Let’s see…..

There were 20 people and

4 more came. There are

now 24 people.

THIS SEATS 24 PEOPLE.

DID IT WORK?

But………….

As everyone got settled.. Mrs. Comforts sister , her husband and their triplets. The triplets brought their boyfriends. So we had 24 people and 8 more came. So now there are 32 people.

WHERE WILL THEY SIT?

Mrs. Comforts brother

suggested that they divide

the 4 pairs of tables into 8

single tables.

THIS SITS 32 PEOPLE!

Mrs. Comfort sighs and

says “ that’s how I had it in

the first place” !
