    The committee name was changed from Community Mobilization to Community Partnership to be more descriptive about the focus and objectives of the committee

    Created and manned an information station during parent-teacher conferences at Kentwood High School

    Continued planning to fulfill role of advisers to School Board regarding specific areas related to parental involvement, communication with families, and increasing community and business involvement

    Invite guests from community-based organizations with diversity focus to share information with ADE with the intent of alignment of effort

    Target distribution of FAQ regarding the graduation requirements to families, especially diverse communities that may not receive information via traditional means

    Continue exploration of best practices re: parental involvement to be shared and implemented within the KSD

    Accomplishments

    Two articles were submitted to schools this year "Who We Are" information regarding the ADE (Fall) What each committee has done to date (Spring)Receive updates and summaries from each committee to use in newsletters and year-end Board presentation.Forward articles to Community Connections for assistance with print media and district website resources.
