Appendix - ISpecification for 11KV CSS with 1000KVA ONAN Transformer

The 11kV Outdoor Package Sub-Station shall be consisting of following :

A.

HT SWITCHGEAR

11 kV 630 Amps 21 kA for 3 sec. SF6 insulated non extensible gas insulated

compact switchgear consisiting of 2 nos. fixed type motor operated load break

switch and 1 no. fixed type motor operated Vacuum circuit breaker in a 2.5mm

SF6 insulated robotically welded non-ferrite and non-magnetic stainless steel

enclosure of IP 67 protection, with series trip, self powered microprocessor based

numerical over current & earth fault ( IDMTL + Inst) relay (ASHIDA make

ADR241S with communication port or any other equivalent approved

make)protection.

SF6 gas refilling option at the site shall be possible in the HT switchgear, without

removing the motor assembly, in case of gas leakage

Interconnection & Earthing

Interconnection Between HT switchgear & Transformer using 1CX3X95 sqmm

XLPE Aluminium Single core cable & Interconnection between Transformer &

LT switchgear using Aluminium Busbars. Internal earthing connections by 50 x

6 mm GI Strips.

OUTDOOR ENCLOSURE

Outdoor type enclosure having modular construction of Galvanised Sheet

Steel of thickness 1.5mm or more.The Enclosure shall have IP54 degree

of protection for HT & LT switchgear compartment & IP23 degree of

protection for Transformer compartment. The enclosure exterior shall be

Powder coated/PU paint (colour light Gray & D.A.Gray). Each compartment

will be provided with the door and pad locking arrangement. The

Compartment illumination lamp with door operated switch shall be provided for

each compartment.

transformer with corrugated wall, Off load tap switch with Tapping range of +5%

Construction of Bed / Plinth with size stone masonry including earth work

excavation suitable for proposed compact Substation as per the drawing no:

CPRI/EMD/ MED-WSL/CSS-PLINTH/01 with all accessories etc., as required.

The sucessful bidder shall produce the Bed/Plinth drawing to Engineer in-

charge for approval before execution. ( Including the cost and conveyance of

all materials, labour charges, installation charges etc., complete. The work

shall be carried out strictly conforming to the given specifications and as per

directions of the Engineer in charge complete.)

Appendix – III

The equipment shall be supplied with two sets of operation and maintenance

manual including detailed drawings.

Copy of the type test certificates not older than 2009 (for all tests) from a

National / International accredited Organization shall be provided along with

drawings.

The transformer will be inspected by CPRI Officials / authorized representative

for all Routine tests as per relevant IS/IEC standards before dispatch, at the

manufacturer site at suppliers cost.

All the accessories required for the satisfactory operation of the transformer

shall be supplied.

Warranty of the transformer Three years. The contractor shall furnish

warranty of transformer obtained from the manufacturer in favor of CPRI , so

that the warranty obligations can be exercised by CPRI.

Package Sub-Station will be complete with all the internal Interconnection,

earthing .

Supplying and Making Indoor HT cable end termination with heat shrinkable

jointing kit complete with all accessories including lugs suitable for 3 core x

185 Sq.mm, XLPE aluminium conductor cable of 11kV grade as required. (

charges etc., complete. The work shall be carried out strictly conforming to

CPWD specifications for electrical works and as per directions of the Engineer

Excavation of trench of size 0.3m width X 0.5m deep for laying GI flat of 50

mm x 6 mm size and connecting the earth points of the equipment/panels.The

earth got out of excavation shall be refilled after laying GI Flats etc., and

consolidating the soil in layers of 200 mm thickness, each up to the ground

level ,with all accessories complete as required. (The work shall be measured

based on the volume of the trench excavation).

Laying of G I / Copper Wires / Strips of 50mm x 6mm size in surface / reccess

/ ground including fixing with all acessories etc., complete as required and

carrying out the proper connections. (Including the cost and conveyance of all

materials, Labour charges, installation charges etc., complete. The work shall

be carried out strictly conforming to the given specifications and as per the

directions of the Engineer in charge complete.)

The electrode shall be uniform & smooth coating and have better anti-

corrosion protection. The electrode shall have extra high current carrying

capacity of up to 60 kilo ampere for 1.0 seconds as tested by CPRI. The earth

electrode shall be provided in various Substations and laboratories having

different soil conditions. The location of Earth pit chambers is indicated by HoD

- EMD. After installation, the successful bidder shall measure the earth pits

resistance and reports to be submitted.

After installation the successful bidder shall measure the earth pits resistance

and demonstrate that it lies between 1 and 5 ohms.The soil resistivity shall be

measured by the bidder and considered for the design of the earth pit. The

pipe dia and pipe lengths given in the above table are only indicative. If

required, the bidder shall propose suitable length and dia to achieve earth pit

resistance of 1 to 5 ohms.

Copy of the CPRI test certificate should be enclosed for earthing electrodes

along with offer/tender document.
