Amelia earhart was an adventurer. she was born on july 24th 1897 in kansas. One day she went to a world fair and went on a roller coaster and loved it! when she was about 6 years old she and her sister built a roller coaster she was the first to ride it.

in 1920 amelia earhart was a nurse in world war 1 because she wanted to help hurt soldiers. most women did dishes but she was brave and was a nurse in the war. she felt bad for the soldiers because they were injured and hurt and away from home. She paid attention to the planes above her.

After going to an air show she got air fever and needed to FLY. she saved money flying lessons. She was also interested in how planes worked. amelia earhart became the 1st girl to fly alone across the atlantic ocean on May 20, 1932. after that she then fought for girls equal rights in flight. Boys didn't think that girls could fly but she changed that by flying across the atlantic ocean.

Amelia earhart's last flight was over the pacific ocean on june 1 1937. she was never seen again. she died on that flight. there are a lot of theories about how she died. one is that she was forced to talk on the radio as tokyo rose in world war 2.

amelia earhart taught us that girls can fly and that girls

can do things that boys can and cannot do.
