Every summer in America, large numbers of children attend summer camps

where they can relax, learn new activities, and make friends from around the

United States and around the world.

Increasingly, American summer camps are opening their doors to children

from many countries, including China. This guide lists camps that have

welcomed Chinese kids in the past or would be eager to in the future.

The guide is written by Malia Cashel, an American student who attendssummer camps in America, and also lived previously in Chengdu, China.

Blue Ridge Camp is a family operated, activity-oriented, camp for boys and

girls. We are located in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. Our 250-acre site is

excellent, offering athletics, aquatics, outdoor adventure and arts facilities. With

12 indoor facilities, our activities continue rain or shine. At the end of each interval,
