Module Description This module takes further the introductory materials involving the economic underpinnings of business and management activity encountered in the corresponding core module. It is designed to develop further analytical skills and an understanding of the economic principles and how they apply to the business environment. The module explores various aspects of business behaviour, including acquiring an efficient mix of inputs, price and output determination, and growth strategies. The focus is on providing the tools needed to build the bridge between the economic theories and practice by furthering the students' knowledge on some of the techniques of economic analysis (demand analysis, costs analysis, game theory). In this module, students will acquire vital tools for applying economic analysis to managerial decision making, which are valuable to any business.
