are anurans

The anurans have long five-toed back legs and short four-toed front legs

Amphibians

The alpine newt and the salamander are amphibians

The newts and salamandershave short limbs and long tails

The northern red salamander and the tiger salamander are amphibians

Amphibians hatches as an aquatic larva with gills.

The larva then transforms into an adult having air-breathing lungs.
