From the desk at T-Bar... At ANL, Herefords are more than a tradition...they are a way of life. Their annual sales, the spring bull sale and the fall female sale have been an annual source of quality breeding stock which have gone on to be profit earners for the new owners. Each year, Karl and Karen source new out-cross sires to improve and add value to a powerful cow base. The 2012 edition offers progeny by the exciting “521X” and the reigning Canadian National Champion “Untapped.” This female offering put together by ANL might well be the strongest and most exciting they have ever offered. For those who like pictures and ribbons, I would recommend you check out these heifer calves.George and Corey from Glenlees come to this event with their “guns loaded.” We all can recall Emma with the powerful “Libby” female who definitely had a competitive edge in Olds this past July. That same symbol of quality can be
found in this offering. The bred heifers carry the first services ever offered from their newest herd sire addition “452T” while the heifer calves are fresh and fancy; but do not overlook the pick of the flush calves.Blair and the boys from Meadow Acres offer a powerful lineup of bred heifers suitable for any program in the industry. These females carry “cutting edge” services to produce exciting results. Check out their two year olds with their Torch daughters at foot.We welcome the Brooks family as consignors to this event. It is with immense pride that we offer up this set of heifer calves. They are without a doubt, in our opinion, the best bunch ever raised here at ANL. It is hard to part with them but in keeping with tradition, we only put forth the best. There is something for everyone, whether it is a show heifer or cow power you are looking for. These calves are from our best donors. You can be the judge!!!
As always, Corey and George are offering a super group of breds as well as heifer calves. The Fornwalds also have dug deep with many of their females carrying the service of National Champion Bull, Untapped.
This year we welcome the Brooks family to our sale. These young guns are eager, enthusiastic breeders who started building their herd about five years ago. They also are finding it hard to part with their best. The boys, Haley, Leon and Charlene are a great bunch to have around.

We think a lot of these to flush sisters and were only prepared to let one go, so we decided to sell choice. Out of 8203, an outcross for most breeders in Canada and having the Beyond Mindy cow on the bottom side. We think they are the brood cow material.

This 719T daughter is probably not the heifer for the showring, but is without a doubt the kind to take home and turn into a highly productive cow. With Online, Sonora, Beyond, 707B and P606’s full sister all in the bottom side of her pedigree, the guess work is gone.
Rachelle and Lana purchased this heifer’s dam from Haroldson’sw last year and what a job she has done. Not big, but a work horse with a near perfect udder. 12Z has the extra exten-sion, rib shape and soundness of structure. Add in 521X and you know she will work.

This flush was one of the best, with two exciting females and five impressive bull calves. These females are very long sided, with a lot of shape to their tops. With a little extra bone and front end extension, they stop you in the pasture. We feel these young females have a lot of future.

719T has got everyone’s attention in the U.S.A and Canada. This son has a powerful hip and back with extreme length of spine. Dark in color, pigmented and a herd bull look. When you put him in motion, he is very free moving and up headed.

Here we have two full sisters; although a year apart they are very similar in type. 10Y is a sound, smooth made, long spined, deep sided heifer with enough spring of rib to her. She was Haley’s 4-H project where she was really competitive. 6Z, like her big sister, will take some time to develop but when she decides to, she will do it at a rapid pace and will get better and better as time goes on. Again she is smooth in her makeup, deep sided and has lots of spring of rib. Their sire 53W is a bull that adds a lot of lower third and rib to his calves.
