SCOTTISH DERMATOLOGICAL SOCIETY TRAVELLING SCHOLARSHIP
A scholarship of f1.000 is offered to a young doctor from one of the former Eastern block countries to attend the 1996 Annual General Meeting of the Scottish Dermatological Society and visit major dermatological centres in Scotland.
The award will be made through the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology on a competitive basis. The applications will be assessed by the Standing Scientific Committee of the EADV.
The meeting will be held on 7th and 8th June, 1996 in Carlisle, and will take the form of a scientific session and case presentations. The itinerary and visits to the dermatological departments will be worked out with the successful applicant, who it is hoped will be able to stay with dermatological families of a similar age group in Scotland to encourage longterm friendships. The award is intended to cover all travelling, accommodation and other expenses.
Applicants should send their C.V., a short resume of how they would benefit from the Scholarship, and two letters of support to: Prof. Andreas Katsambas, Secretary General EADV, Skoufa 35 GR.-106 73, Athens, Greece. (Fax +30-l-3600196)
