As the Australian Pipeline Industry Association, this industry has developed a reputation for providing one of the most memorable and influential events in the energy industry calendar. As the Australian Pipelines and Gas Association, the tradition will continue.

The APGA Annual Convention and Exhibition has become the signature national association event of the year. Those who have attended in the past know its value: for the information exchange and networking, and for the unique convivial atmosphere. The APGA Convention and Exhibition is a genuine reflection of the Association’s commitment to the industry, to its membership and as an opportunity for those members to shine.

This year’s Convention will be held from 17 to 20 October at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre. The theme of the 2015 Convention is Australia’s Pipeline Industry: Providing Skills and Infrastructure for Energy.

There will be presentations about gas and gas markets, safety and the environment, projects, skills and training, technical challenges as well as new research and developments. In this time of challenge to the domestic gas industry, the transmission

pipeline industry must maintain the focus on gas availability and on gas supply, while continuing to provideefficient, effectiveandsafetransportation.

Of the approximately 30 events and functions each year, the Annual Convention and Exhibition is the highlight; the showcase for the industry. It is an opportunity for all members from all sectors of the industry to meet and address the issues that are important. It is an opportunity to share critical knowledge about the industry.

The Exhibition has reached capacity, with enough exhibitors to provide a wide variety of products and information, but contained within a number that allows participants to spend time learning about those products. It is an opportunity to ask questions and discussthelatestproductsandservices.

The APGA Convention and Exhibition provides an excellentforumforexchangeofideasandinformation. The Business Program promises high-quality papers and useful information and we look forward to welcoming you and your partner to the 2015 APGA Convention and Exhibition, to participate in four busy, informative and entertaining days.
