Under 300 DPI condition, Logos can be printed with original size.If you do not use Encoder, please go to "Function > Printing Setup > PringHead >Resolution" and choose 300 DPI;If the resolution is not 300 DPI, first you may calculate a value like “x=Current DPI / 300”, then use Windows Paint software to open the Logo, choose "Image > Stretch/Skew…" and input the value of ‘x’ to “Horizontal” column.
Please see below example for reference:If you want to print a balck square with 400 DPI, please set up the Logo parameters as follows:

The first step for perfect printing like below image is to set a guide bar on the conveyor. The following examples are possible printing problems due to wrong settings.
Ⅷ-1. Incorrect conveyor speed setting
The conveyor speed must be stable in order to produce a perfect printing; otherwise, you mayneed to install encoder.
a. Conveyor Speed setting is too fast
b. Conveyor Speed setting is too slow
Solution:Press ”FUNCTION → 5" to set up correct speed.
Ⅷ-2. Incorrect Encoder DPI setting
If the DPI setting is different with actual DPI, you'll get below printing even if you've installed Encoder.
Solution:Press ”FUNCTION → 5" to set up correct “Pulse/Cycle” and “Diameter” based on the Encoder.
Ⅷ-3. Incorrect printing direction setting
You'll get below printing image in case you've set incorrect printing direction:
Solution:Press ”FUNCTION → 5“ to choose correct printing direction.
Ⅷ-4. Build up on the nozzle
Solution:a) Use lint-free soft cloth to clean the cartridge nozzle; b) Change a new cartridge

Ⅸ-1. Test performance of U2
For printing variables, It's highly recommended to test the U2 in order to check if its performancecan catch up with the clients requests.
Here are the key factors we need to know for tests.
1). Conveyor speed2). Length of printed substrate3). Min. Gap between substrates4). Length of printed message5). Contents and layout of printed message6). Printing Interval7). DPI info8). Printing Delay9). Detailed application description
If there is no missing prints, it means the performance of U2 can meet with the client request.
Ⅸ-2. Printing speed of U2
1. DPI (Resolution): Dots / Inch
2. f (Hz) (Frequency): Dots / Second
3. V max (Speed): Under the speed, there is no distortion of printed messages
4. Speed Formula: V max = f (Hz) / DPI * 1.524 m/Min (For U2 printing system, Max. f (Hz) is 15 kHz)
6.5 K
Dro
pw
eigh
t (ng
)
8.5 K f (Hz)
It is highly recommended to avoid the cartridge workingfrequency is during 6.5 kHz ~ 8.5 kHz, in order to minimizethe build-up on the surface of the cartridge nozzle.
5. DPI Formula: DPI = Pulse/Cycle * 25.4 / Diameter / π ☆ Pulse/Cycle Unit: PPR ☆ Diameter Unit: mm (EncoderON)
6. Minimize the build-up on the cartridge nozzle surface
Ⅹ. U2 installation
Ⅹ-1. For U2 Controller
Ⅹ-2. For U2 bracket
Proposal:
a). It's highly recommended that U2 bracket needs to be apart from conveyor, in order to avoid bubble generated inside the cartridge bladder due to vibration, so a stand is necessary.
b). It's also essential to get a guide bar to ensure the distance between nozzle and printing surface less than 3 mm.
c). The distance between bracket holders is shorter, the firmness is better.
Proposal:
a). It's not recommended to have U2 Controller share the power with other industrialequipment, in order to avoid power noise. Also, an online UPS system is highly suggested.
b). U2 Controller needs to be grounded properly in order to avoid static electricity.
Ⅸ-3. Printing length of U2
Horizontal: 30,000 dotsVertical: 150 dots per U2
For example: With 300 DPI, the Max. length of the printed message (L):
L=30000 dots / (300 dots / inch) =30000 / 300 * 25.4 / 1000 m =2.54 m
So no matter whichever DPI users choose, the ink consumption is the same and just theprinted length is different. See below example for your reference:
For 300 DPI: Printed length: A mm Ink consumption: B Dots
For 600 DPI: Printed length: A/2 mm Ink consumption: B Dots
From your view, 600 DPI will show you darker printed image!
Ⅹ-3. For U2 Encoder (Option)
Ⅹ-4. For U2 external Photocell (Option)
Ⅹ-5. For U2 BIS (Option)
Ⅹ-6. Binding cables for U2
Proposal:
a). Preferably install Encoder right under the U2 Printhead
b). Wheel surface must be vertical with Conveyor belt
c). Encoder Tension direction should be positive
If the conveyor belt is not flat enough to install Encoder directly, we may have following twosubstitutes.
1). If the printed carton is long and heavy enough, It'll be available to get the undistortedEncoder signal once the wheel is attacked by the coming carton.
2). In case the carton is too small and too light, there is another solution to get the accurate Encoder signal.
For any conveyor belt, there must be a main wheel and secondary wheel. You need to makea flat wheel whose diameter is equal to:[diameter of the main wheel + 2 * thickness of the belt].Then, please embed an axletree into the right center of the main wheel and the man-madewheel. After that, you can install Encoder on the man-made wheel. This is the proper way toensure the speed read by the Encoder is the same as the actual speed of printing.
D
It's flexible to mount the BIS holder anywhere as long as the ink level (verticaldistance bewteen cartridge nozzle and BIS nozzle) should be kept 45 mm, no matterwhether you choose Side printing or Downside printing. Also, the tubing that connectthe PEN Cartridge and bulk ink bladder is forbidden to be forced by pressure andstrength, otherwise, the bottom of Cartridge may not contact well with Cartridgeholder, that probably casues the issue of ISD damaged.
For 370cc BIS, it's highly recommended to connect bulk ink bladder and PENCartridge after several prints, in order to avoid air accessing.
★ It's highly recommended to adjust the printing position via Photocell location adjustment, instead of adjusting Delay!
If you wanna adjust detecting distance, you can rotate the adjusting screw as Figure showedabove.
(If you want to lengthen detecting distance, please rotate the screw to be "max" direction asit shows you; if you wanna shorten it, please rotate the screw to "min" direction as it showsyou)
The range is from 0 to 10 cm.
Adjusting screw
After finishing the installation, please also bind all the cables. Pay attention to thetension (not too tight or too loose) when binding cables.
