Natural antibiotics

• Natural Antibiotics derived from specific plant. There are antiviral

and antifungals antibiotics.

Synthetic antibiotics

• Synthetic antibiotics are produced in the laboratories and they have revolutionized modern medicine

• The most significant for the medicine was the pennicillin

Pennicillin• Pennicillin is a derivate of mold

Penicillium notatum and it was discovered by Fleming in

Mechanism of action• Antibiotics act by different ways

• They are divided according to the mechanism of action against the

pathogen

Antibiotic resistance

• Continued use of an antibiotic can cause the results useless because some bacteria develop strains resistant bactericidal or bacteriostatic antibiotic.

• This weakens our immune system making little efficient.

Consequences

• The antibiotic can give side effect. The

dependence of medicines or

abuse of these it can take to

death.
