If you believe in Jesus for everlasting life, you will “not perish”. This means you will never be in hell. I am putting a big X over perish to show that if you believe in Jesus for everlasting life, you will never be in hell. Even if you die, you will go to heaven, and you will live with God forever! …But John 3:16 gives us very good news! The good news is, “He gave His only Son…” God loved you so much that He sent His Son, Jesus, to die on the cross. Jesus died in your place to take the punishment for all the bad things you will ever do. See how I have drawn the cross over sins, to show Jesus died for our sins. Jesus came back to life and tells us what we must do. He says, “…whoever believes in Him…” Jesus does not tell us to do good things to go to heaven. The only thing He tells us to do is believe in Him for everlasting life. I am drawing an arrow to Jesus to show we need to believe in Him.
