“C:” must be copied over to 2nd computer

any networked drive is okay if 2nd computer has access

Zip disk: or any other movable storage must be moved to the new computer- keeping same “drive allocation”

Map Document will open in different computer.

But only data on floppy or network drive will display. This computer can’t see the first computers “C:” drive.


If data on “C:” drive of first computer is copied to second computer…

Then entire Map Document can be viewed.

A Map Document.mxd does not store the data… It merely points to where it is stored!
