3000 years ago, people used “chew sticks”.
They rubbed teeth with lemon juice, charcoal, tobacco and honey.
They picked their teeth with real or silver feathers.
Minty cream and a metal tube were invented about 100 years ago. (When was that?)
The first nylon brush was invented in 1938.In World War 2 (1939 – 1945) soldiers were given toothpaste and toothbrushes.
Electric toothbrushes were invented in 1960.
Throw-away travel brushes have the brush and toothpaste in one unit.
Some brushes are also
tongue scrapers.
