Introduction
Ladies,
Are You Ready to Receive the Love You Desire is a
collection of inspirational stories both true and inspired
by the Holy Spirit to help us prepare ourselves to receive
the right kind of love. So many times we ask the Lord to
bless us or send us a husband, when most of the time we
really aren't ready to receive the man God has so lovingly
prepared for us. In other words, we need to get our house
(our lives) in order so we can be ready to receive the love
we have been asking, praying, declaring, and decreeing
God to send into our lives.
This book covers a lot of issues women might face while
waiting on that special someone to come into their lives.
In order for us to receive the love we desire, the first
thing we have to do is prepare ourselves to receive this
wonderful man in our life BEFORE the Lord sends him
to us.
Before we say, “I DO” to the man we are going to marry,
we need to make sure we have all of our “I DON’TS” out
of the way. For example, if we DON’T like cooking,
DON’T like cleaning, DON’T LIKE WASHING
CLOTHES, and DON’T like getting up early, why are we
asking God to bless us with a husband?
All those things are very important when you get married.
You see we have to be about our business if we expect
God to enlarge our territory. Ok? I know we spend a lot
of time on getting our bodies tight, and our hair and nails
done, but you know all that isn’t going to last. I’m not
saying it’s not important, because you should take care of
yourself. However, if that is all you are using to get a
man, well then years down the line you are going to have
a problem.
See the word say: Charm is deceptive, and beauty does
not last; but a woman who fears the LORD will be
greatly praised. Reward her for all she has done. Let
her deeds publicly declare her praise. Proverbs 31:30
(NLT).
All the Bare Minerals, Fashion Fair, and Maybelline,
won’t help you keep a man. Oh it may lure him in, but the
word says it won’t last. We have to start out with the right
foundation, and you know The Foundation I am talking
about. If you want to know some of the things we need to
work on start reading in the book of Proverbs.
In chapter 31, starting at verse 10, it talks about the
characteristics of a virtuous woman. It reads she’s
capable, trustworthy; she will enrich her husband’s life,
and she will get up before dawn to prepare breakfast
before her household.
See I told you, one of the things we have to work on is
getting up early. This woman is up early, and she is
cooking breakfast for her family. Verse 17, goes on to say
she is energetic, strong, and a hard worker. Ok, I hear
somebody saying “what is the man doing”? I know some
of you are saying that was then, this is now, and a lot has
changed since that verse was written. I know we have a
lot of women working outside the home now because
sometimes it takes two incomes to keep things going.
Hold on ladies, don’t count me out. I’ve been both a stay
at home mom and a working mother so I feel your pain.
But we’re going to work together to get us there.
However, we still need to understand if we want to be a
virtuous woman, we still need to rise up early to get things
prepared for our family.
And ladies remember this, when that verse was written
don’t you know Our Heavenly Father already knew our
beginning and our end? Nothing ever catches Him by
surprise. So just because things have changed in this
world, it doesn’t excuse us from doing what He expects us
to do. Just like it doesn’t excuse the men from doing what
He expects them to do for the treasures (us) that He has
placed on this earth for them. Remember a virtuous
woman is a woman who is in this world, but not of this
world. Are you with me?
Now let’s talk about this book and the journey you are
about to travel on. As you read and meditate on some of
the stories while we travel on this journey together, my
prayer is that some of the stories such as, “Getting Your
House In Order," Stop Looking and Be Found, God of A
Second Chance” and “Dead Weight” will minister to your
spirit and cause you to take a second look at your house
(your life), and see what areas the Holy Spirit has exposed
which are out of order. I pray that second look will cause
you to allow Jesus to come in and move those hard areas
out of your life, which have been wounded by the hurt and
pain of the past. I also pray and believe what you read
will transform you into a woman of joy and delight, and
prepare you to receive the right kind of love Jesus has
waiting for you.
You see God can bring the right kind of love into your life
who will work alongside you, and those same early
mornings you’re so concerned about getting up to fixed
breakfast can look like this…
You reach over and hit the snooze button on the alarm
clock. “Oh please, just give me 10 more minutes” you
say to yourself. You feel tired already thinking about the
day that lies ahead of you, and it’s only 5:30 in the
morning. Darn, is that buzzer going off again? I guess I
better get up. I didn’t realize I hit the snooze button twice
already. It’s now 5:50 a.m. Time to fix breakfast. You
hear a noise coming towards the bedroom, and your first
thought is the kids are already up. However, you look up
and oh my, it’s your husband, and he’s bringing you
breakfast in bed. He tells you he has already fixed
breakfast for the kids. Then he leans over and gives you
a kiss on his way out the door to the office, but not before
he tells you: “Baby, there are many virtuous and capable
women in the world, but you surpass them all; I love you
have a blessed day”. (And ladies that last sentence
regarding being a virtuous and capable women was is
from Proverbs 31:29, you should read it.)
Doesn’t he sound wonderful? Alright! So what’s the
next step? Where is the wonderful man? How do we
find him? Looking for a man is one of the things we will
talk about as we prepare ourselves for the right kind of
love. We have a long, but wonderful journey ahead of us,
so prayerfully read through this book, allow it to minister
to you, take time to reflect upon the words of
encouragement and hear what the Lord is saying to you.
Its set up to lead you through some of the different phases
women journey through while getting ready for the right
kind of love to come into their lives.
Aren’t you tired of looking for love in all the wrong
places? Aren’t you tired of always being the giver in the
relationship, and not receiving any love back? Oh where
is the love? Don’t you want a love created and designed
just for you? Well, come on get your hearts to receive the
love God has prepared just for you.
Why Do I Feel So Lonely?
Is that the question you've been asking yourself lately?
Well, I want you to know you are not the only woman who
feels this way. But, let’s talk about why you are feeling like
this. You’ve been looking for this certain type of a
relationship, but you just can't seem to find it. At times, you
feel like “this is it!" “this is the one”, but the feeling never
seems to last. It’s like every relationship you encounter
leaves you with an unexplainable emptiness; each one
leaves you feeling like its sucked the life out of you. You
know there is something missing, but you aren’t quite sure
what it is. Yes, there is something missing, but it doesn't
ever have to be that way for you again. You see what’s
truly missing in your life needs to be quenched on the
INSIDE (your spirit) before the OUTSIDE (your flesh) can
be fulfilled. As long as you continue to satisfy what your
flesh wants first, you will never obtain what your soul truly
desires and needs.
If you want proof of this read the story of what one woman
was told when she wasn’t looking for a man one day and
met Jesus.
Scripture reading John 4:6-29
Now Jacob's well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied
with his journey, sat thus on the well: and it was about the
sixth hour. There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw
water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink. (For his
disciples were gone away unto the city to buy meat.) Then
saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou,
being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of
Samaria? For the Jews have no dealings with the
Samaritans. Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou
knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give
me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would
have given thee living water. The woman saith unto him, Sir,
thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from
whence then hast thou that living water? Art thou greater
than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank
thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle? Jesus
answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this
water shall thirst again: But whosoever drinketh of the
water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water
that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water
springing up into everlasting life. The woman saith unto
him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come
hither to draw. Jesus saith unto her, Go, call thy husband,
and come hither. The woman answered and said, I have no
husband. Jesus said unto her, Thou hast well said, I have no
husband: For thou hast had five husbands; and he whom
thou now hast is not thy husband: in that saidst thou truly.
The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a
prophet. Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye
say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to
worship. Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour
cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at
Jerusalem, worship the Father. Ye worship ye know not
what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the
Jews. But the hour cometh and now is, when the true
worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth:
for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit:
and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in
truth.
The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh,
which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all
things. Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he.
And upon this came his disciples, and marveled that he
talked with the woman: yet no man said, What seekest
thou? or, Why talkest thou with her? The woman then left
her water pot, and went her way into the city, and saith to
the men, Come, see a man, which told me all things that
ever I did: is not this the Christ?
When Jesus met the woman at a well she was thirsty; but
what she truly was thirsting for no man made well could
ever fulfill. There was a desire within her that only Jesus
could satisfy. Jesus began to minister to her in a way she
would never forget. He told her she had had five husbands
already, and the man she was living with wasn't her
husband. Now for this woman to have been married five
times and working on number six. You know she had been
looking for love in all the wrong places. Jesus told her that
He was The Living Water, and that if she took a drink of
His water, she would thirst no more. Her search was over!
She left her water pot and went to tell the men about The
Man she met who had changed her life. What Jesus gave
her was so good she forgot why she even went to the well.
What He gave her did more than quench her thirst. It filled
her up to overflowing.
There is One who loves you as His child and wants you to
enjoy a love relationship, but He wants it to be with Him
first. This wonderful man is Jesus. He is the answer to
your search for that ultimate relationship. He will fill the
hole in your heart. He will help you overcome your
loneliness, your faults, and all your failures. He will give
you peace here, now and eternal life with Him in Heaven.
He is the one Creator of the universe and everything it
contains, this also includes you.
You won't be complete inside until you have a personal
relationship with the God who created you. A love
relationship with Jesus is the most important relationship
any woman (or man) can have in life. This relationship
happens through prayer, through walking and talking to
Him, through sitting at His feet and listening to Him. It’s
all about having that intimate relationship with THE ONE
WHO LOVES YOU. God is eager for you to get started in
this love relationship with Him, if you haven't already done
so.
So stop looking for a man; why not let him find you?
Why not allow the Lord to lead him to you? Look at how
priceless you are. Why not reflect it?
Who can find a virtuous woman for her price is far above
rubies. (Proverbs 31:10)
Ladies, we need to allow Jesus to bring the love we desire
into our lives, and until He does let Jesus be all THE MAN
you need. You see Jesus won’t have you crying yourself to
sleep every night wondering is the way love has to be in
order for it to turn out right? Why, because He promised us
He would never leave us, nor forsake us.
Hebrews 13:5 Let your conversation be without
covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have:
for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
His Holy Spirit will fill you up with more love than we
have ever felt. It will be more love than you ever could
imagine. Greater love has no man than Jesus, for He laid
His life down for his friend.
John 15:13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man
lay down his life for his friends.
He is THE ONLY ONE that can make you feel this way.
Jesus is THE ONLY MAN who can make you feel
complete. I know of no other man that could satisfy all
your needs. Only Jesus could ever be all the man you need.
The love (the man) Jesus sends you will add to your
happiness, it won’t make you happy because you will have
already found that happiness in the Lord. Fall in love with
Jesus first, and when the Lord does bless you with the love
you desire everything else will fall into place.
Ladies He’s waiting…. So why don’t we get ourselves
ready to receive.
When Will There Be Love?
Everyone longs to give themselves completely to someone
to have a deep soul relationship with another, to be loved
thoroughly and exclusively.
But God says to the Christian: “Not until you are satisfied,
fulfilled and content with being loved by Me along with
giving yourself totally and unreservedly to Me; with having
an intensely personal and unique relationship with Me
alone, discovering that only in Me is your satisfaction to be
found, will you be capable of the perfect human
relationship that I have planned for you. You will never be
united with another until you are united with Me, exclusive
of anyone or anything else, exclusive of any other desires
or longings.
I want you to stop planning, stop wishing, and allow Me to
give you the most thrilling plan existing, one that you
cannot imagine. I want you to have the best. Please allow
Me to bring it to you. You just keep watching Me,
expecting the greatest things. Keep experiencing the
satisfaction that I am. Keep listening and learning the
things that I tell you.
You just wait; that's all. Don’t be anxious. Don’t worry.
Don’t look around at the things others have gotten, or that
I’ve given them. Don’t look around at the things you think
you want. You just keep looking at Me, or you will miss
what I want to show you. And then, when you are ready,
I’ll surprise you with a love far more wonderful than any
you would dream of.
You see, until you are ready, and until the one I have for
you is ready, (You don’t know it, but I am working even at
this moment to have both of you ready at the same time)
until you both are satisfied exclusively with Me, and the
life prepared for you, you won’t be able to experience the
real love that exemplifies your relationship with Me, and
this is the perfect love.
And dear one, I want you to have this most wonderful love.
I want you to see in the flesh a picture of your relationship
with Me, and to enjoy materially and concretely the
everlasting union of beauty, perfection, and love. What I
offer you is a special and unique love that will be complete;
with Me.
This is the love I want you to have.
I am God. Believe it and be satisfied.

Chapter I
Take Time to Get Yourself Together
Ladies,
Before we can even consider bringing that special
someone in our lives, I strongly suggest we do some
spring cleaning (emotional, physical and spiritual). You
see I don’t know about you, but it’s been a while since
I’ve cleaned out my closets, and you know how things can
get in there. We keep saying one day we are going to set
aside some time to get things in order but that time never
seems to come. Well, if we are thinking about bringing
someone into our lives, especially a husband; we need to
check to see if there could be some emotional baggage
lying around.
Oh yeah, we have a little here and there. So let’s take
some time right now to get some areas of our lives in
order before we get romantically involved with anyone.
Inspirational Story - Get Your House in Order
Matthew 21:12-13 And Jesus went into the temple of
God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the
temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers,
and the seats of them that sold doves, And said unto them,
It is written, My house shall be called the house of
prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.
Come on ladies its time, its past time! You’ve put it off
long enough. So long those things are beginning to pile up.
You can’t seem to find what you are looking for, and you
have no idea where you put it. You can’t remember the last
time you saw it or what it felt like. You begin to wonder if
you would recognize it if you saw it, but you know it has to
be here somewhere. Now what did you do with it? What
am I talking about? I am talking about your Joy. When
was the last time you had some joy in your life?
You have allowed the enemy to come in and fill your
house, your temple with all kinds of clutter. He brought in
things that weren’t meant to be in God’s temple (remember
you are the temple). After that last bad relationship, you
forgot to close the door, and the enemy came in with doubt,
anger, unforgiveness, hatred, revenge, backbiting, and all
kinds of ungodly things that have messed up your house.
Oh, and let’s not forgot how you keep allowing him to
remind you of the terrible things you did in the past. Come
on get out the devil buster, we’ve got some cleaning to do!
It’s A Dirty Job, but It Has To Be Done
You’ve avoided it long enough; you know it needs to be
done. You’ve stored so much hurt and anger in your house
that when joy tries to come in, he is turned away. You’ve
told him that love doesn’t live here anymore, and so joy
leaves with his head hanging down.
Girl, I know you may not feel like it, but you have got to
get off your butt and clean your house. You can’t remain
“Young and Restless” anymore, nor is thinking about taking
your life to be in “Another World” going to make things
better. This is your house, and it’s time you cleaned it. As
you sit there mad at him, the “Days of Your Lives” are
passing you by, and you are allowing the enemy to keep
you and “All Your Children” hanging on his every word
waiting for him to call. God sent the Holy Spirit to be your
“Guiding Light," but you keep holding onto the “Secret
Storms” of your past mistakes and the “Dark Shadows” of
the enemy are making you forget that you only have “One
Life to Live."
DARN IT! Stop watching those darn soaps operas, get off
your butt, and get your house in order!
This cleaning has to be done in order to teach you to
appreciate the blessing God is sending your way. How can
He bring you that special someone, if you won’t get that
mess out of your house?
No! No! No! Don’t you put that stuff in the basement,
and moving it to the garage won’t help. Don’t even think
about putting it in the attic and have all that stinky stuff
hanging over your head. Get rid of it! Come on, it’s got to
go!
“You must give up the things you want in order for God to
bless you with the things you need."
Can I say that again? I think I will anyway…
“You must give up the things you want in order for God
to bless you with the things you need."
You have to get rid of the pain, the anger, the fear, the hurt,
the unforgiveness, and the resentment. You must get rid of
it in order for the Lord to bring you joy, peace, happiness,
love, and prosperity. You are only going to get this by
cleaning out your house and filling it with whatsoever
things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever
things are just; whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever
things are lovely, whatsoever things are of a good report; if
you fill your house with these, there won’t be any room for
the enemy to come in and mess it up again.
You’ve allowed your house to be unclean for too long, and
if you are honest with yourself, you allowed it to be that
way because at certain times it made you feel good. Well,
ladies I told you there is more to life than feeling good. Get
your house in order!
It’s time to face what you have been dreading most. Are
you ready? Open up that door and put the devil out! Tell
him he can’t live here anymore. Tell him that God has
created a clean heart in you and renewed your spirit.
Psalm 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew
a right spirit within me.
Put the devil out! Get out your devil dust buster and suck
all those bad thoughts out of your life. When you finish
don’t leave the bag in the devil buster, empty the bag
outside in the dumpster when you finish. Put him out!!!
Let him know there is no room for him at your house.
Let him know that you aren’t going to take it anymore.
No more reminding you of your past mistakes!
The Word says: Hebrews 10:17 And their sins and
iniquities will I remember no more.
No more making me feel like I am not worthy of a good
relationship!
The Word says: Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no
condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk
not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
No more crying in the midnight hours because you
haven’t called!
No more abusing me in front of my friends!
No more coming home when you get ready!
The Word says: Joshua 24:15 …but as for me and my
house, we will serve the LORD.
No more trying to get even with the person who took him
away (they didn’t take him, he left)!
No more using the kids to get even with him!
No more threatening to call child support if he doesn’t do
what you want (if it’s his child, he should be paying it
anyway)!
Romans 12:19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves,
but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written,
Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
NO MORE DEVIL. NO MORE! I AM GETTING THIS
HOUSE IN ORDER!
Have a garage sale and charge the enemy 7 times the
interest for everything that he has taken from your house.
Don’t hold onto anything that is not of God for
sentimental reasons.
It’s time to get your house in order. Do what the Lord
did and take a whip and chase the enemy out of your
house. Tell him as for me and my house, we will serve
the Lord. Get your house in order!
And when you do that God will say to you…. Well done,
good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few
things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou
into the joy of thy lord. Matthew 25:23
WHAT BAGS DID HE LEAVE BEHIND?
When you put him out don’t let him leave any of his bags
behind to have an excuse to come back and visit. You
know they like to come back visit. All they need is an
open door.
You put the devil out, but why oh why would you let him
leave his bags behind? Didn’t you hear what I told you?
I can always tell when the enemy’s bags were left behind.
Look at how we act:
You got out of a bad relationship because it was destroying
your joy, but you are still very resentful, bitter, and angry.
You let the devil leave his bags.
You got out of financial debt, but you still can't control
your desire to spend on frivolous things. You let the devil
leave his bags.
You got out of a bad habit or addiction, but you still long to
try it just one more time. You let the devil leave his bags.
You said, “I forgive you”, but you can't seem to have peace
with that person, and want to talk about what they did all
the time. You let the devil leave his bags.
You told your mate that it was over, but you still continue
to let him call and come over. You let the devil leave his
bags.
You got out of that horribly oppressive job, but you're still
trying to sabotage the company after you've left. You let
the devil leave his bags.
You cut off the affair with that married man, but you still
lust after him. You let the devil leave his bags.
You broke off your relationship with that hurtful, abusive
person, but you are suspicious and distrusting of every new
person you meet. You let the devil leave his bags.
You decided to let go of the past hurts from growing up in
an unstable family environment. However, you believe you
are unworthy of love from others, and you refuse to get
attached to anyone. You let the devil leave his bags.
WHEN YOU PUT THE DEVIL OUT MAKE SURE
HE TAKES HIS BAGS TOO!!
Now that you have put your house in order by getting rid of
that “stinking thinking," the stuff that was clotting up your
arteries, and raising your blood pressure, let’s work on
correcting some of the silly things we do in our lives that
might be hindering us from having the love we so richly
want and deserve.
Word of Encouragement - Return to Thy First
Love
Rev 2:4 Nevertheless, I have somewhat against thee,
because thou hast left thy first love.
My Beloved,
I miss our time together. I miss My time with you. I miss
the days you use to wake up and call My name, and tell Me
good morning. I miss the walks in the park we used to
have, and when you would rush home in the evenings to be
with Me. We used to have so much fun together. I miss
our times together.
Take time to examine your heart and renew your covenant
with Me. I speak to hearts that have been distracted from
the pure love and devotion that once burned. Do not seek
to be satisfied with things of the world or things that are
temporary and not eternal, instead rekindle and stir the
flames of desire for Me.
Look within yourself and examine your heart to see what
truly motivates you, for you have come to a fork in the road
where your choices will determine the direction you will
go. You will either come back to Me in greater
determination and consecration, or you will gradually fall
away. I don’t want you to dwell farther away from Me. So
much time has already passed, and I miss our times
together. It’s time you return to thy first love, fall in love
with Me again, and renew your covenant.
Don’t stop until your heart burns with desire for the love
you once had for Me. Seek Me with all your heart. Oh how
I miss hearing you tell Me you love Me just before you fell
asleep at night. Oh that you would rekindle your love, and
let it burn with such desire that it ignites in you a love for
me that was lukewarm. Return to thy first love. I love you
and miss you so much.
Inspirational Reading - Get Out of Your Own
Way
Be careful what you ask for, you just might get it.
Your words, your dreams, and your thoughts have power
to create conditions in your life. What you speak about,
you can bring about.
If you keep saying you can't stand your job, you might
lose your job.
If you keep saying you can't stand your body, your body
can become sick.
If you keep saying you can't stand your car, your car could
be stolen or just stop operating.
If you keep saying you're always broke, guess what?
You'll always be broke.
If you keep saying you can't trust a man or trust a woman,
you will always find someone in your life to hurt and
betray you.
If you keep saying you can't find a job, you will remain
unemployed.
If you keep saying you can't find someone to love you or
believe in you, your very thoughts will attract more and
more experiences to confirm your beliefs.
Turn your thoughts and conversations around to be more
positive and power packed with faith, hope, love, and
action.
Don't be afraid to believe that you can have what you want
and deserve.
Matthew 21:22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask
in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
Watch your "Thoughts”, they become words.
Watch your "Words”, they become actions.
Watch your "Actions”, they become habits.
Watch your "Habits”, they become character.
Watch your "Character”, for it becomes your "Destiny”.
