Building refurbishment of an ex-mail sorting warehouse in Melbourne’s north. The 2,500sqm refurbishment includes amenities and services upgrades, new kitchen, installation of a new shopfront, removal of an existing structural canopy, paving and landscaping works. The refurbished facility is now home to a Department of Human Services Centrelink and Medicare Service Centre.

The works involve an extension and refurbishment of the existing Balwyn Library building. Included in the works is the addition of an atrium, construction of a first floor level comprising mainly staff areas / offices, as well as demolition and reconstruction / refurbishment of lobby, library, study, meeting and amenity areas on the ground floor.
Interesting features of the project includes a roof cooling system supplied by new rainwater tanks, a green rood at first floor level above the library area below, make good of all existing external timber shading and reinstatement of the existing library’s timber ceiling lining.

Fitout and refurbishment of six separate office locations for the Department of Justice including Derrimut, Cranbourne, Wonthaggi, Pakenham, South Morang and Reservoir.
The works included demolition and refurbishment to create office spaces for Department of Justice staff. The sites were run concurrently and required arete to have numerous Site Managers available to complete the works. Overall The Department of Justice were very happy with the way arete delivered the project and awarded us the second stage of works to be completed at different sites.
