Letter from the EditorDear Viewers, I personally wanted to greet you into the magazine. ARIES is built on the unsatisfaction from other LGBT magazines that we cur-renlty to turn to. The team and I wanted to bring not just the sex aspect but the other factors in everybody’s lives, Beauty, Entertain-ment, Gay News, Fashion, etc. One of our missions is to put a good name back to the gay community and make more than the sterotype that everybody has come to know. Giving the name “GAY” another definition a positive definition. My team and myself also wanting to help acheive those who just came into there own a place of sanctu-ary within our pages. Provide answers to those question who don’t know who to ask and where to turn, rather than make a mistake and reget something that they have done. There is no real magazine out there like this one. Other than the popular womens magazine but you can read so far , nothing that us gays can relate to. We hope that you can find the fun and fulliment and make our magazine al-most like your bible or at least help you in any way.

I’ve always enjoyed the start of the New Year. It gives me a chance to reflect on the previ-ous year and shift gears to accomplish the goals I wanted but never got the change to do. For me, personally, I usually tend to re-gret the events that I missed out not just for myself but entertaining for others as well. For the first month of the year there are sev-eral events that I would love to go. The first one is Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon music and light show being held and the Fleischmann Planetarium on Jan. 4th from 8pm-9pm. Tickets are only $7 for adults and $5 for children ages 3-12 and seniors 60+. Do you remember the last time you went to an event there? I’d have to say for me I was on a 4th grade field trip! And if you want to enjoy the rest of the actual museum that night, it’ll be free for you and your fam-ily. There’s always events to do locally here in reno. But if you’re not the type that doesn’t like go-ing out but rather enjoy

WICKED THINGS TO DO FOR FUN.:

:.................yourself at home, here is book you might enjoy. I just finished WICKED: THE LIFE AND TIMES OF THE WICKED WITCH OF THE WEST. Let me tell you, I couldn’t but this book down. When people hear the wicked witch, they assume from the 1939 movie which was sepia toned and in full color. Not exactly, this book is the backstory of the wicked witch of the west Elphaba Thrope, of where she came from and how she came to be. But never wicked in book just merely misun-derstood. Maguire has re-imagined the world of oz and the characters inside it, The wizard is a dictator, the animals can talk (C. S. Lewis is questioning that one), Witch of east is an over religious zealot, and the munchkins are prone to be mobs. This book keeps you on the edge

of your seat. Mind you this is book 1 of the series. I don’t want to give the entire book away. So its your turn to open the book and adventure yourself within the pages. I’m cur-rently reading book 2 SON OF THE WITCH, and i’ll give read you a review on that book as well. If you’re not a reader, then Rihanna’s latest single DIAMONDS will keep your gro-ovin’. Its not the type of song that gets in a sweaty mess but does get stuck in your head. With its heavy synthesizers, 1980’s beat and b minor sound. It different from what rihanna has ever done. A little dark, but gets the point across. The deepest lyric of the song is “Find light in the beautiful sea, I chose to be happy”

That really hits the spot. It may mean some-thing to you differently than what it means to me. Besides the darker side of rihanna, Kelly Clarkson’s Catch my Breath, is a struggle with herself in life. Kelly Clarkson has stated “To celebrate the strength and longevity that my fans, friends, and family have supported me with I wrote this song “Catch my Breath” with one of my best friends that has seen me through everything. This song represents who I’ve been, what I’ve felt, and where I’m headed as not only an artist but as a 30 year old that is now smart enough to know that it’s time to stop, catch my breath, and be proud of not only what has been accomplished but of all the people that have helped me become the woman I am today.” The electropop sound that the song gives makes you wanna jump up and down. A lot has happened in the soap world. Will and Sonny on the show are gay characters who have recently started dating after Will came out of the closet. Even though they have been together, they are already hitting bumps in the road. Wills dad is trying to break up Will and Sonny, saying that Sonny is trouble. Will takes his Fathers concern transpar-ently. Now that Will has taken a stand his fa-ther, He is now a FATHER himself, the girl he used to date and slept with before sonny is now preg-nant. She confronts will at sonny’s apartment after the two gay love birds had sex for the first time. Will takes the news shockingly, telling sonny of what he has learned. Sonny accepts the challenge for Will and comforts him, tell-

ing him that its okay and is something they can work together on. This really reminds me of another soap Kyle and Oliver from One Life to live. To be honest I think they could’ve done a better story line for the new gay characters in As the world turns. But we shall see what the writers have to offer.

7 DRINKS TO MAKE YOU LOOK SOPHISTICATED

Franziskaner Hefe-Weisse

This seems to me to be a decent, slightly above average version of the style. Pours the normal red-dish-brown, most notable for a

very resilent head. Nose of some very ripe, maybe even overripe

bananas, some clove, and maybe a hint of banana-bready grain.

Mouthfeel is a little thin for this style, but eventually will give you

banana nut bread flavors and a nice, lingering, banana finish.

Jameson on the Rocks

Jameson turned out to be a very smooth and sweet drink. Jame-son is not sugary by any means, however, there is always a light taste of honey or caramel. There

is no “dark” attributes to the taste of this whiskey as it will

consistently present a gentle fruity sweetness from glass to glass. A honey-like, warm sensation will

linger with you shortly after your sip your whiskey.

Heineken

Pours a clear light orange with a foamy bone colored head that

settles to a film on top of the beer. Foamy streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell

is mainly of malt and grain aro-mas. Taste is much the same with

a sweet finish. There is a mild amount of bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good

level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel

Crown Royal and Coke

The classic drink is enough if you want to just have a couple for the night. If the bartender makes it right then you should only get a hint of it. But it feels cool when

you sip first and then warm in ther after taste. Over all this drink has a

classical feel.

Sex on the Beach

If your looking for a colorful night then sex on the beach is a great drink to begin with. Very sweet

cocktail... makes you wanna drink more and more once you start

drinking... it’s delicious and usually hard to taste the alcohol, which

makes it easy to drink. If you haven’t tried this drink. What the hell are you waiting for. Everyone has to try this drink at least one

time in there life!

A Hole in One

A Hole in One defines you as a country-club socialite, so why not play the part? Throw on your best polo shirt, head to a swanky bar

and order yourself a glass of No. 8

Kissing Good-bye to Jamie Kuntz

By Charles Scott

Sports aren’t usually known as an arena of comfort even in the best of times. There is a lot of pressure to perform, to succeed, and ultimately to win. With careers and educations constantly on the line there is a huge weight on the shoulders of any athlete. At the junior college of North Dakota State College of Sci-ence it is no different really. It definitely isn’t in the same conversation on national champion-ship scene with the likes of perennial power-house Alabama Crimson Tide, but they have the same goal of winning it all. Now bring into the scene a young man, Jamie Kuntz, a scholarship athlete on the football team at NDSCS. Only a handful of people knew that Kuntz is gay. That didn’t last very long. At a game in early September, while inactive and recovering from a concussion, Kuntz was given the job of filming the game against Snow College. It wasn’t even a home game; they were at the opposing college. During the third quarter of this game Kuntz, who had invited his boyfriend into the press box with him, decided to share an intimate moment. For that moment and the man with whom he shared it is the reason Kuntz was eventually removed from the team. His coach, Chuck Parsons, gives a different reason; lying to him. After the game Coach Parsons confronted Jamie Kuntz about the situation and allowed him a chance to speak his side. Kuntz told Parsons that he was just giving a kiss to his grandfather. After another round of discussions Kuntz eventually

told his Coach that it was his boyfriend that Kuntz had brought to the press box. After this admission was when Parsons handed over a dismissal notice and told Kuntz he was no lon-ger part of the team. As a former athlete, albeit only a high school athlete, and being gay I have a tough time grappling with how to think about Jamie Kuntz and his dismissal from his football team. This could be considered a very discriminatory case of a traditionally conser-vative area of the country in a traditionally machismo arena of masculinity. Neither of those really allows for an openly gay football player to be out and still play the sport he loves. I can sympathize with Kuntz over this; I have loved the sport of baseball since the time that I can remember being old enough to like anything at all. I was always lauded as being the best of team players. I terrorized myself night and day about how to be both gay and be an athlete. In the end injury decided for Sports aren’t usually known as an arena of comfort even in the best of times. There is a lot of pressure to perform, to succeed, and ultimately to win. I am very much out to nearly every-one, those that I’m not are the men that I stand along and umpire base-ball. I’m petrified that they find out. For someone like Kuntz, who was not out, I can sympathize. In the end I find myself condemning Kuntz for being selfish, a frightened liar and not worthy of being on his team. I agree with his teammates when they say he deserves another chance. Every-one makes a mistake and deserves a chance to try again. I just don’t see him being deserving of being on the NDSCS team any longer. For any ath-lete to lie to his coach is a huge broach in protocol. I would never have dreamed of do-ing that. I never would have dreamed of being a distraction to my team by bringing my com-panion to a game and making a scene. Competi-tive sports is about winning, team sports are about winning as a team, and being a teammate who does nothing but distract his team isn’t a teammate at all. Oddly enough I fully sup-port NDSCS for their removal of Kuntz. He displayed actions detrimental to his team and in the end lied to his coach about the situation. I suspect that even though Kuntz says he did nothing wrong, his final actions are very sus-pect to me; he withdrew from his school solely for being dismissed from his football team. I somehow think that even Kuntz knows that he violated the sanctity of his team sport and now is absolutely the worst thing for a team, a detri-ment and a distraction.

“If I could hear one thing, I would love to hear the school say they were wrong.”

“Jamie Kuntz voluntarily withdrew from North Dakota

State College of Science last week. Prior to his withdrawal,

he was dismissed from the football team for a violation

of team rules following an incident at a football game.

All students and faculty must abide by College policies, and this one is very clear,” said John Richman, presi-

dent of NDSCS.Kuntz was sidelined with an injury and volunteered to

film the game for the team. Instead, his conduct with his companion in the press box, which was ongoing and

explicit in nature, drew complaints from numerous par-ents and players. When asked about the identity of his companion and his reason for accompanying Kuntz to

the game, Kuntz falsely identified the companion as his grandfather. Kuntz later admitted that he had not told the truth and was then dismissed from the team.

In other words, instead of filming the game, Kuntz invited a companion into the location where he was

supposed to be working and engaged in behavior that was a distraction to the team. When asked about the

incident by his coach, Kuntz did not tell the truth about the identity of his companion and what happened, as he has since acknowledged. Based on this conduct,

the football coach dismissed Kuntz from the team.Despite how this is being portrayed by some, Jamie’s

sexual orientation had nothing to do with his dismissal from the football team,” Richman said. “NDSCS is a welcoming campus where individual differences are

valued and respected.” quote from the school president:

UNIBROWS, DARK CIRCLES, &PORES OH MY!

BY DANIEL SCHULTZ

Tame those beasts attacking your face!!! What were you thinking leaving your house with eye brows looking like chewbacca. Tweezing your eyebrows only takes a few minutes, and have you looking amazing when your out & about. The first thing to do is buy tweezers, when choosing, the best pair they should have an angled tip and diamond cut. These type of tweezers make a type grip and will not miss any hairs, The pair I bought were $5. When its time to acutally start the debac-cing, go with the natural shape of your eye brows. you cannot change the shape of a mans brows otherwise you will have girl brows. When trimming and plucking your brows first re-move all the extra little hairs that nobody can see. Doing such will make a very clean look.

Also pluck the hairs in between the brows this is considered “the unibrow” and I cant stress this enough, when you are having a conversation with somebody all they see. Stay within the bridge of your nose. Avoid shaving that area it creates little bumps and is very noticeable and it could come back thicker and faster. When you start plucking the outside of your eye-brows try to take a little of the top and bottom. What you are doing is creating some definition rather than a fuzzy line. If you are having some

trouble getting the hairs take your finger and lift the kin upward, this should make it easier to get the hairs. The time your finished your brows should look clean and neat. If you brows look like that they are shocked at what you had done to them, then you have over plucked and have to wait for them to grow back. Fair warning, they don’t grow back the same, so try to be careful when plucking your very first time.

One of the biggest things that I have a problem with the dark circles and bags under my eyes. The best solution even though these can never truly go away, is try to get plenty of sleep nightly. Inadequate sleep causes those circles. Try to take vitamins that assist sleep. Lack of sleep, couple with poor vitamin absorption reduces adrenal functions. The less ad-renal, the less B6 you tend to absorb. Allergies cause the skin discoloration under the eyes. Treat he allergy, minimize the bags. Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables. Greens tend to work best! If you a salt eater, meaning you put salt on everything, then your salt days are over. Well at least cut it back 90% of the salt. Excess salt causes the body to retain water in unusual places, creating some puffiness under the eyes. Salt an even impair your circula-tion and make the blood vessels under the skin appear bluer. There’s the old trick of using cucumber slices and its true. This is a fast pick me up for the tired puffy eyes. Place a slice under each eye while lying down for 10-15 mins. I even tried the cold tea bags on your eyes routine. While lying down, leave the cool damp caffeinated tea bags over your eyes for about 10-15 mins. You can refrigerate them over night so they will be ready in the morning. The tanning from the tea bags reduces swelling and discoloration. How man of you have done the frozen spoon to help with hickies. Same rules apply here. 10-15 mins for the soon use it until the spoon gets warm. You have to remember sometimes your skin and how body works you cannot change. But these are a few treat-ments you can do in your very home.

I’m a victim to large pores on my nose and near my check bones are. Never re-ally understood how to get rid of them. I have tried everything to even minimize the pores, and I think I’ve found a solution to help those unwanted craters. Gen- tly wash your face with mild soap and warm water about two to three times every day. I would use after breakfast, after lunch, and before you go to bed, as a good time to do at. Pay attention to your nose and other acne-prone areas. Using hot water and excessive scrubbing can irritate and make the pores worse. Products that has Salicylic acid can prevent the overactive shedding of skin cells that can clog the pores. Spread the product containing the ingredient over the areas of issue. Apply it to dry skin 20 mins after washing your face. Pore cleansing strips help a lot with any remaining oil and grime from the areas. Limit only to three times per week, any-more can damage the skin and never use the strips in place of the regular cleansing. Even changing your sheets and pillow cases every week or twice a week can help make those pores minimal. Also try not to place your hands on your face, anything you touch can also get trapped in those pores. Starting this routine for a month, I started to see results. Sticking this routing has tremendously helped with my face and has built up my confidence level.

“I met a guy that I have only been with for about 3 weeks, he seems to be the perfect

match for me. But he lives 2hrs away and I can’t keep taking the drive every time I want to go see him. Is he worth the relationship or should I bare the gas prices?” When looking for that special someone, its hard looking in your very ocean when there aren’t very many fishes in the sea to chose from. Let me tell you! From what I am understand from your question is that you probably meet the guy from online data site and you guys hit it off from there, great glad that you found somebody to connect with. But with the digital dating world it you have to remember that if even though they are one click away, in real-ity they are either right in your city or few thousand miles away give or take. If the distance is getting to you and you can’t handle how far you have to travel then you have answered your very own question. Sometimes the answer is hard to be copacetic, but if your not happy then its time to go in another di-rection. It’s not healthy to maintain this type of relationship.

Long distance relationships should only be attempted if you can handle being far from the one you like and that you both can understand of what each others needs are. Is it okay to see other people? Is it okay to sleep with other people? Rules are different with the digital world then the real. Be-careful that you dont have any expec-tations that you haven’t gone over with you online love that he doesn’t know. Make sure that you clear about what you want! Don’t settle for anything less, settle for something more. Read-er you will find the one that is meant for you just stick to you guns and never back down you OUTLAW OF LOVE!!!!

“ When I talk to guys on the cell phone or in person, all he wants to talk about is how horny, or he wish-es to see me naked, or even wants me to send nude photos to him. How do I tell him that all I want to do is get to know him without ending the relationship!” If a guy is asking you to send nude photos of yourself or anything along those lines, DON’T DO IT!!!

A guy like that is sharing your photos without you even knowing, before you know it there will be other guys that you have never even existed coming up to you and saying that he’s seen you naked. Something that should never ever happen to anyone! He just needs more so that he doesn’t have to send photos of himself lets just say over an app. A guy like that is bad news and isn’t worth your time. Question the whole situation is your answer. Don’t sugar coat your words, merely just tell him that lets talk about something else and change the sub-ject. I know that you might like the guy, and that he makes your heart burst with emotions. But he’s not that into. Men who really care do you want to know and get to know you. Sex or anything x rated should be the last thing on his mind or yours. For instance, the texts that he should be sending you should be love texts or something close it. “ thinking about you right now!” “ god I wish I was having dinner with you instead of working!” Those are the type of messages you should be getting. Once you have somebody who does that for you and isn’t just pretending, that’s where you should be focusing your energy on. Just be patient, you will find him Spend your time doing other eventful points in your life with that person should also be something you both be do-ing. There are guys out there who have these traits Doesn’t mean stop looking for love or being a brick wall, but just let the ther per-fect guy, mr prince charming come into your life rather then looking for him. It nice to be treated like royalty

even when its just in a text message. But if you feel that this is all he’s going to be asking. Then just tell how you feel and most likely he will just pass you up and go for somebody who will do what he wants. Stress-ing over a text mes-sage is not worth your time. But sharing pictures on the cell phone is very bad idea. It worth the wait for somebody better!!!

“After 6 years my husband called it quits. He moved out the next day while I was at work. What should I should?”

I understand how you feel completely. Ev-erything is your life has been disrupted and you are unsure on how you’re going to move on without your partner, will you end up alone or can I find love again? But as of right now you must respect the deci-sion that he has made. You may not think that it was the right one, its the one you have to deal with. If you have offered to fix what issues this may have caused, but he denies it then he doesn’t want to fix it. A million pieces is what your heart is feel-ing. I can’t tell you what you should do and how you take it from here but at this point all you can do is just pick them up and mend them one day at a time. Dwelling on this change or holding your breath hoping that he’s gonna come back is not healthy and should avoid doing so. If you have to take some time to cry....cry. Let whatever is deep within you out. I have known that if an issue has come to the climax of me cry-ing, then I cry. Its nothing to be ashamed off and it’s preferable to cleanse the mind/body/soul. It’s normal to feel sad, angry, exhausted, frustrated, and confused, all of these emotions can be intense and scary. Permit yourself to function at less then optimal level for a period of time. You may not be able to be productive at your job or care for others at the moment but gives you a chance to regroup and re-energize. Talking to friends, sharing your feelings with family can help you heal, rather then try do it by yourself. After my first relation-ship had ended, I was devasted. Cried for days, talked to friends/family about the situation. After thinking about it and getting some closer from it, it was better this way. Remind yourself that you still have a future and that is the end goal. Helo yourself heal

by scheduling activities daily. Avoid the drink or any harmful uses, doing this is a cop out and the coward thing to do. It can lead to something distructive and no rela-tionship is worth your health. Just remem-ber that this is not end of you, your’re going to find someone that is your match. But it comes down to your patner wanting to fix what is broken then instead of trying to fix what you or he is going to do, use the word “we/us”. How are we going to fix this, What would you like us to do?

Medi/Pedi“My feet and Hands always look good. Thanks to my husband. He takes good care of me. I would have never enjoyed this if he had never introduced pedicures and mani-cures to me. And know I look for-ward to getting it done.”

OUT DO EVERYBODYS NEW YEARS!!BY BERNIE ROSE

Many find New Year’s Eve a mo-ment in time for a fresh start, maybe a lifestyle changing res-

olution, or perhaps to await that spe-cial someone. All around the world there are different ways to celebrate. Here are the top 10 weirdest ways to commemorate the new year....

Number one Lead Pouring. In Germany and

Australia a very old tradition of pour-

ing molten lead into a glass of water

and watching the shapes in order to

predict what is planned for the new

year. there can be many shape mean-

ings but the Ball shape is to represent

luck in the next year, a anchor can be

a need for help in the future, and the

cross means death.Number two

Burning Portraits. In ecuador

the burning of a photo is to rep-

resent the people’s leap from the

past into the future. and to get rid

of old unwanted memories or to

possibly start fresh. Number Three Colored Underwear. The people of Mexico go out every year and buy a pair of underwear to match their hopes for the new year. for example a red pair of underwear can represent the need to find love, Yellow for luck, and green for riches.

Number Five

Fund Raisers for Happi-

ness: in Turkey they believe

that some sort of fundraising

event that they volunteer for

will bring them happiness.

perhaps giving back the com-

munity is a way for most to

achieve a level of happiness.

Number four Circular patterns: In the Phil-

lipines most people will wear cir-

cular patterns to represent their

want for money, little is known

why exactly it is that they wear

circular patterns could mean

their circle of karma coming back

around to them.

Number Six Grave Yard: in the chilean city of Talca the people will make their way to a graveyard for a special mass with their deceased loved ones. some people set up chairs as they await the new year with a family member or friend who is deceased.

Number Seven

“Dinner for One”: since 1972 it has been

a german tradition that on midnight the peo-

ple get togethor and watch the british comedy

dinner for one. not knowing the exact reason

this tradition started most germans will often

quote the comedy. although its not quite as

unusual as their lead pouring tradition. I won-

der if they pour their lead while watching din-

ner for one. two birds one stone i suppose.

Number Eight Yellow underwear: here is another underwear tradition straight from the people of Bolivia, during the day most shop for a nice pair of yellow undies they eagerly await midnight when the people can go to a place to change their un-derwear. most beleiving that their luck will change and very comparable to the mexican tradition.

Number Nine

Throwing dishes: The peo-

ple of Denmark have a tradition

of throwing dishes on doorsteps,

that is doorsteps of only their

friends. no one wants to come

home disappointed with an empty

doorstep and on the upside you

get to get rid of that ugly dish

your friend gave you as a wed-

ding gift.....oops.

Number Ten Washing Away: one of

my favorites but also one

of the most meaning full is

Puerto Rico’s tradition of

throwing buckets of water

out of their windows and into

the streets to “wash away”

the old and in with the new.

most also clean their houses

and decorate for a new start

on the new year.

“I’m so stressed over this... so much so that I gave myself an

ulcer. My health is being put at risk, as well as my sanity. I’m

gay and no one else knows. I’ve been asked numerous times if I was gay, but I always denied it.

I’m not ashamed of me, but I am ashamed to be gay. It’s terrible because I have nothing against gay people at all... but when it

comes to myself, I just can’t re-spect me anymore. I hate it and I’m starting to hate myself to for being gay and a coward for not

telling everyone.”

“I am 25. I am straight, good look-ing, and always had girls no prob. I am here to confess that I put myself through engineering school by hav-

ing sex with married, closet business-men. I worked full time and tried to get loans, but it wasnt enough.

Then, with a chance meeting in the locker room at the gym I ended up in the employee room of the two main

partners in a large architechural firm. They are both good looking, success-

ful, and have attractive wives, and kids. Im trying to decide if my degree

was worth it or not..”

“I always thought my brother in law was gay, when he’d see

a small built nice looking guy, he’d say I’d like to screw him. But I never really paid any at-

tention to him, last friday night he said the same thing to me.

Saturday morning I was embar-rassed for what I let him do”

“I think my dog is gay. My dog always tries to hump my leg and

I’m like. Dude I’m a guy”

...

...

DOES IT FEEL GOOD TO OPEN UP

“I pretend I’m in a boyband with 3 other guys, and we sing songs on my iPod. It

truly makes exercising and long walks to work much more fun”

“He is the funniest most lov-ing cutest drama kid out there but some of the things he says

makes our gaydars go crazy even though he is as straight as a

board.”

“I say im gay, but I think im just damaged.”

“My little brother is gay. I know because he took pictures on my computer that

proved it... He thought he deleted them, but he didn’t.”

“Sometimes I wish I was a man so my friend who’s gay can love me the way I

love him!”

“I married my husband knowing he was gay

I thought i could change him turns out i couldnt”

bout a year ago I agreed to come out to my parents be-cause someone on EC and I

decided to do it on the same day. This really helped me because I wanted to tell them but I never could find a good time. I was waiting for the golden op-portunity to tell them but it never came so I just decided fuck it and one night I told them I had something to tell them and it was serious so whenever they were ready to talk to me they should come get me. They surprised me by saying they were ready then. So I sat down and got ready to tell them. I was shaking and sooo scared but since I told them i had something important to tell them I couldn’t back down. So I just told them I’m gay. They

COMING OUT IN A FairytaleBY BRIAN FROM EMPTY CLOSETS

were really shocked at first and I told them how I was still me. My mom was totally cool with it, my dad not so much. He said he didn’t really be-lieve me and was waiting for the right girl to some along. But they said they still loved me. After I left I kept think-ing I made a huge mistake and I was still worried abut also relieved. After that my mom came up and gave me a hug and said she still loved me. That helped calm me down. To this day me and my mom can openly talk about it and its only a little awkward. My dad given up on me being the jock-ish son he wanted but I don’t care. Its kinda awkward with him still but he’s my dad and im his son and we get along for the most part.

Ok so I wanted to come out at school my freshman year but my par-ents thought it was a bad idea. They said I should wait till sophomore year so i have a smooth freshman year and can focus on academics. I didn’t like the idea much but it make sense so I held off on coming out that year. It also let me get to know people without them just knowing me as “that one gay kid”. I did tell a few friends who were girls but other then that I didn’t tell a

Agirls but other then that I didn’t tell a soul. And the coming out story just kinda dies for a long time. It picked back up 2 weeks into freshman year, about 3 weeks ago. I am sitting at my lunch table filled with ppl I don’t know or used to know and lost contact with. I sat there cuz I didn’t know anyone in that lunch period that wasn’t in band, and the band people were gone 1st half of lunch. So one of them is talking and I hear she is bi. We talk and I get her number for texting and stuff. I come out to her and we we talked a lot about LGBT stuff. She told me about the GSA at our school. I decided to join. The first meeting was a blast and I met a ton of cool people there. A few of them were out to the whole school. After joining the GSA I decided to come out. I started telling people at the end of the day in math and it spread fast. I then put it on facebook. It was funny but weird because no one talked about it to my face. After a few days my friends talked to me about it. I was dreading this but it turned out great. They were glad I was able to come out and were cool with it. The talk about me was good too from what I heard but still not many are talking to me about it. Its been many months since it happened and things are better then ever. I made all new friends and I love them. Coming out made my life a million times better!
