local artist gallery, educational spaces, gift shop and cafe.

public plaza. The Gallery forms the physical shape of the gate-way, facing towards the other destinations in Fort Worth and the

views of the city. Our approach evaluated the needs of every theater and arranged them with a mutual lobby, allowing the ex-change of people, ideas and excitement for arts and the theater.

In doing this, the site and building become one. Through many light

studies in Arizona I placed a living screen over the windows for an interesting play with light.

The conference center is a mixture of research and public gatherings. The space planning was designed to be flexible and efficient. The Conference

center is a great place for different people to merge together; such as re-searchers, arboretum workers, and children.

The Boomerang Generation is a The Boomerang Generation is a group of young adults who have re-cently graduated college and are unable to support themselves fi-

nancially and move home into their parents house. My client, Ashley, lives with her mom, husband, 3

cats, and 1 dog. The solution was a house addition that made space

for Ashley, her Husband. The addi-tion became a playful jungle gym

for all of the pets.

Washington is going through a trasitional period. What has been a Washington is going through a trasitional period. What has been a small commerial and single family neighborhood is transforming into a multi-family, condo, and commercial based neighborhood due to the re-

turning life to the city. Our site is just across the river from downtown, making it prime location for individuals commuting to work.

We were asked to design and develop an affordable option to Rowhouse living. Given a lot of only 5850 sf. to house 5 units, finding the

most functional design is a challenge.

Our approach evaluated the current norm of the residential home in Our approach evaluated the current norm of the residential home in the United States, leading us to rethink what is necessary for a house to be a home. Our design for the rowhouse opens spaces for

multiple purposes. Spaces are simplified allowing them flex and grow to each families needs.

Our project will provide the city with prototypical designs that incorporate issues of energy conservaOur project will provide the city with prototypical designs that incorporate issues of energy conserva-tion and generation. It is intended that our work will provide a mechanism for the city to demonstrate to potential developers, property owners and businesses how energy conscious design can be responsible as well as beautiful. The design project for this semester will be the development of a in order to

achieve a particular expression. The building will be a hybrid consisting of approximately 20,000 s.f. and will include the following spaces: manufacturing, 3,000 sq. ft. , employee recreation, café/ employee eating space, day care,

entry/ reception, offices/ meeting rooms, 3 housing units, approx. 800 sf. For this project “Green” Aesthetics is defined as the ability of architecture to express a language of

design that transforms ordinary experiences of business and manufacturing into extraordinary places that have a sensitivity and respect.
