I was born and raised in the Stow-Hudson area of Ohio. I attended high school at Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy (a private college prepatory school) and went on to study at Kent State University. I will be graduat-ing in May with a B.A. in Interior Design. In the Fall, I plan to take the first section of the NCIDQ certification test and LEED certified test.

I currently work at Sterling Jewelers, INC. in the Facilities Department. This position has provided me with a wide array of experience and knowledge in important areas and skills of this career. Upon graduation I hope to acquire a job within the commercial design sector of this field. I love and am happy to do all design but personally prefer commercial and hospitality design.

My skills and expertise are in space-planning, specifications, rendering, custom furniture design, color, textiles and lighting. I have a strong skillset in the software programs of Adobe, Autocad and Revit (which is my program of choice for rendering). With my current position at Sterling, they have also on several occasions given me freedom to manage small projects and moves to attain and practice the needed leadership, plan-ning, design, and organizational skills needed for this field of work.

I am a young, adventurous individual looking forward to the places my career may take me.

Sterling Jewelers, Inc. has many vendors who sell their lines of jewelry throughSterling’s stores such as Kay, Jared, JBRobinson, and many more.

For the vendor’s finish selections, he wanted his office to consist of a neutral color pallete to not distract from work, but have pops of red, being his favorite color. For patterns, he favors floral patterns with a strong passion for flowers and nature. The floral wallcovering in his conference room will actually be a digitally fabricated wall-covering created from his own custom sketches creating a personal and unique space .

This vendor’s office is located in Los Angeles, California. For his existing office he was required to walk outside and around the building to access his second floor office from the main floor store. Through our design we created a spiral staircase for ease of access and a space encouraging collaboration and creativity from him and his employees.

Metamorphosis: met-a-mor-pho-sis [met-uh-mawr-fuh-sis] noun, plural1. Biology, a profound change in form from one stage to the next in the life history of an organism, as from the catepillar to the pupa and from the pupa to the adult butterfly. Compare complete metamorphosis.2. A complete change of form, structure, or substance, as transformation by magic or witchcraft.3. Any complete change in appearance, character, circumstances, etc.4. A form resulting from any such change.5. Pathology

The ceiling feature represents the overal concept of the space. The size of the tiles change as they movethroughout the space. This is designed to help the users move through the space, and create a sense of changein the environment of the space. The tiles are made of a light textile to allow light through. The lighting behindthe tiles will be interchangeable and can adapt to the current needs and use of the space. This will mainly be usedin the event space but can be used throughout the circulation and collaboration areas of the building.

The hexagon shape of the tiles are inspiration to the shape of furniture, floorplan, and site features. The shapesthat reflect the hexagon shapes are not literal, but exactly that, reflect the shape; they share the same anglesbut do not consist of five sides.

Depth and understanding to apply culture and conceptto the project through floor plans, finishes, and other designfeatures. This plan shows a Law Firm based upon Russia’s

culture. Not only did I study spatial and cultural relationships,I approached the space trying to create a unique and

3-dimensional space an associate or client could enjoy on a daily basis through angles of walls and cloud/ceiling features.

Each office and room is created to have a glass wall front with demountable side walls to enhance natural daylighting

and flexibility of space.

Profficient in the skillset of writing CSI Masterspecs andFurniture specifications with FF&E schedules. I have a depth and understanding to what is stated in the legalspecifications.

While studying Architecture and Design in Florence, Italy, we were given a project of a department store spaceto renovate. It is located in the heart of the city and the project must adhere to the laws and codes of that province

of Italy. For the project, I decided to focus on more of the architectural elements of the space to highlight. The codes and requirements of a building in Florence require you not to make any changes to the facade due to historicalparameters. In the group, I was assigned the fourth floor in which to create a ristorante on the top floor of the departmentstore. The name of our store/ristorante is Doppa La Pioggia which in Italian translates to “After the Rain.” Our concept was

to bring into the design and products of the space to be fresh and full of life, like nature is after a fresh spring rain.

The restaurant I wanted to have a very orgnaic, natural feel. I chose to use re-used wood planking as well as implementingthe colors of blue and green in patterns of fabric and wall coverings which can be so commonly found in nature. As for thearchitecture, I created many organic shapes with the wall partitions and furniture. I wanted there to be a natural flow to the space. My inspiration for seating can be seen to the right. The main features of my ristorante is the central mult-level

seating and mult-level circular food display. The central booth seating is created to encourage lounging and interaction betweencustomers. For the ristorante, I saw it more as cafe/finger food that you can eat without a traditional table. I also viewed the

food to be the ‘artwork’ of the space on display.

For this project, it is a Pop-up shop for Sephora. To approach the project, we began bystudying different forms of pop-up retail shops, their uses, duration, materials, etc. Wewere then prompted to choose location and whether it would be stand-alone or anexisting building/space and give explanation.

For our project we chose downtown Columbus from the standpoint of it would be in walkingdistance for students from Ohio State University or women working in the city. We had decidedwe wanted our shape to reflect nature and be organic and unique in shape. We felt that it wouldstand out and call one’s eyes to see an abstract organic shape in a green area in the city. This is how the Green was chosen in downtown Columbus.

When applying our concept to design, a maple leaf was studied. As shown in the site plan, our shape of building reflects abstractly the rivets and veins of a maple leaf. Our colorshowever, resemble the Sephora signature colors of black, white and red. We wanted to createa unique experience for each customer with the shape and varying ceiling heights creating clerestory windows to manipulate natural daylight as well as an all glass front. The colors of black and white extended from ceiling to wall to floor to create a rhythm and balance in the design. Our goal was to manipulate these colors to create a glamorous and classic look in moderntranslation. This is also how we are encouraging our customers to view themselves: glamorousand classic. To provoke this feeling even more, for each section of makeup we have manipulatedblack and white photos of famous starlets who are known for glamour and chic such as MarilynMunroe and Audrey Hepburn and highlight the element of makeup in red in the pciture.

For furniture we chose to use fixtures with traditional design but modern colors such as theseclear and black chairs. Our lighting features are dramatic black adn white chandeliers to encouragethe drama and classic feel of the space.
