Till the 10 th century, the Europeans made fun of Indians that they couldn’t even write a four digit number. But using arithmetic and geometric provisions and chanting of Vedas they proved the Europeans wrong. 5000 years before the Europeans found and claimed copper, brass, tin and lead, the Yajur Veda mentions them. Acharya Kanad ushered in the Atomic Theory nearly 2500 years before John Dalton. In 499 CE, Aryabhata proclaimed that the earth is round, it rotates on its axis, orbits the sun and is suspended in space – 1000 years before Copernicus published his heliocentric theory. Bhaskaracharya was the first to discover gravity, 500 years before Sir Isaac Newton. In the Yajur Veda it is written that for any illness no other medicine should be given except for water. The founder of medicine, Hippocrates admits in his book, 117 times, that he copied the text from Charaka and Sushruta. The founder of Yoga isn’t Darvin but is Acharya Patanjali. Sunday being a leave wasn’t found by the British but by Chanakya, who told that people shouldn’t work more than 8 hours and each day in the afternoon one should have rest for 45 minutes and that there should be 1 medical leave, 10 days as casual leave and that people in the army should have a leave of 2 weeks.
