Labels and inserts for CD-ROMs are designed in accordance with standardizedguidelines for the entire DB Group. The typical design elements of brochuresand leaflets are applied to achieve a consistent visual appearance.The systematic of brand distinction and the use of color follows theguidelines for brochures.

Corporate design guidelines
CD-ROM: Insert
The front cover of CD-ROM inserts have the same structure and colorsystematic as brochure covers—use the logo strip, the color panes and the DBCorner Element plus images as required. Multipage inserts may be printed onboth sides or next to each other and folded.

Along the top margin runs the whitelogo clearspace (1) with a definedheight of 15 mm, which carries thebrand logo for a clear sender marking.Alternatively, the logo box can be used(Print Media).The cover image (2) may be placedflexible in size and position and isbleeding to the left and right margins.A color pane (3)—running across fullformat width—signifies the senderdepending on assigned division color.
The color pane carries the headline (4)with its characteristic bold/lightcontrast and dynamically offset lines ofcopy. Headlines consisting of a singleword are typeset using DB Head Black.The DB Corner Element (5) serves as avisual clasp and is—depending on thedesign—placed in the top left formatarea or in conjunction with the footerin the lower right area. Its heights is5mm. Cover pages without an image
must have a footer (6) to ensure thepresence of the DB corner element.
Listings with top lines (7) clearlyarrange chapters or topics. Listings andtop line use one color depending onbackground either black or white. Linesare bleeding and use a thickness of 0.7pt. If the listing with top line is placedatop a footer is it always aligned to theoffset of the DB Corner Element.

CD-ROM: Label
The layout of labels consists of horizontal stripes and is designed analog tothe cover page of the insert. On top is the logo clearspace followed by a coloror image pane and a footer with the DB Corner Element below it. Imprint andlisting with top line are placed to the left and right of the center clearspace.The headline is placed below the center clearspace.
Label Layout
The logo clearspace (1) has a height of25 mm. The respective brand logo usesa 10 mm width in the DB brand and ispositioned with a 30 mm inset. Thecolor pane (2) is placed below the logoclearspace and may contain images
if an appropriate sender markingthrough color is ensured. Textinformation (3), such as imprint andlisting with top line or technicalinformation are placed to the left andright of the center clearspace.
The headline is placed below the centerclearspace. The DB Corner Element (4)is placed centered on maximum colorpanes and right aligned to the imprinton minimum color panes.

Additional marking, associated with a brand name
In exceptional cases is an additional marking in the logoclearspace placed on the same baseline as the DB letters ofthe DB brand.Typeface: DB Sans Bold in black

The pane design on the insert continues: the logo clearspace stays clear aswell as the footer. Logo and DB Corner Element are not repeated on the backcover. The vertical pane distribution and the colorization depend on thedesign of the insert cover. The spine is white.
