SummaryShort summary: the story starts off with two main characters: Brett and Lisa. They are deeply in love and it is evident that everybody in the school is jealous of them. They get even more jealous when they find out that the dream couple got a job together in a supermarket called the Big Red Rooster.

Over time they find out that they are not as perfect for each other as they tought as they both have different work ethics and they fall apart when Lisa catches Brett cheating on Lisa with Dlylse (another Big Red Rooster employee).

Summary part 3 Lisa is horrified by Brett’s actions and bikes hurriedly home. A few months pass and Lisa moves up the rankings in the supermarket and Brett stays behind as ‘box boy’. Soon Lisa discovers that Brett made a mistake and that they should get together again, and they did and lived happily ever after.

• How do they set the scene in the story? The author sets the scene quickly by describing the event vaguely before describing the surroundings and the characters. For example: describing Brett and Lisa’s relationship before describing the characters themselves.
