sTGC DEAD ZONES?
2013/07/23 | PAGE 2
New 3D models and drawings have been provided
• Updated on the 21 of July 2013• Thanks to George and Benny!
Modifications
• The outer radius of the first module is increased of 10mm• The clearance between first and second modules is reduced from 10 to 4mm• The outer radius of the second module is increased of 4mm• The clearance between second and third module is reduced from 10 to 6mm
Dead zones between modules
• Between first and second modules DZ1=35mm (20+4+11)• Between second and third modules DZ2=37mm (20+6+11)
sTGC design is still in progress and a new version with light modifications
will arrive on tomorrow (to adjust the shape of the boards)

Large sector: The option 5-3 for PCBs has been chosen during the Roma meeting (MMM workshop on the 15-16th of July)
Dimensions have been adjusted to have 5mm clearance between the 2 modules

Small sector: The option 5-3 for PCBs is the safer option The X dimension can be adjusted from 1280 to 1400mm, X<=1300mm proposed
by INFN to better match present construction facilities
