HOW DO YOU USE IT?

Pre-Listeninmg activities:•Teacher ‘s introduction of the topic: Innocence – Experience class discussion on the topic.• Brainstorm through the use of pictures: the students look at pictures which symbolize the meaning of key-words.• Students selecting songs related to Innocence: happiness, brotherhood-peace- hopes – dreams.•Students selecting of songs related to experience: disillusion- arguements- sadness- melancony- regrets.• Students searching the audio files on the web•Working with new words: the students try to guess the meaning of the new words they will find in the texts they are going to listen and read.

POST LISTENING ACTIVITIES

The students are asked to:

a)Read and analyse each text. Then look for the common words in each text . Compare them and work out the main message conveyed by each text.Analyse the two poems: “Song of Innoncence and songs of Experience” to find out the common words and meaning with the selected songs . Look for the stylistic and figure speech present both in the poems and in the songs : the lay out, refrain, rhymes, repetions, symbols etc…)

b)Speak about the common topic in the analized texts to express their personal opinions and preferences.

c)Write an article or an essay on “ strategies, advices to promote peace and justice as well as to fight social inequalities.
