I sat around andtried not to move to much in order to stay cooland to savemoney on my freakin'power bill.THIRTY DOLLARS !!!! What's up with that!At least 'm not cheap.Now that we are slowly moving into Fall, itis time to dust off your bike and get ready to doa little pedaling that we have scheduled.Thereare many events that are planned starting offwith our Dead Dog Race on October the 6th inTrussville. The fun however doesn't end there.We havea ride or race scheduled or almostevery weekend in October into the first ofNovember.

    There is something for almost everyonewho enjoys mountain biking.     DEADDOGLIVES!The 2nd,Annual Dead Dog MountainBike Race will take place on October6th in TrussvilleAL. The courso ayout,prizes, and categorieswill be prettymuch the sameas ast year,with thesameemphasison a local, friendly rac-ing environment, deal for beginners.Allprofits will go to trail constructionefforts...For example ast year'spro-ceedswereused o purchaseand nstallnew signs or the Trussville trail.The DeadDog racewill also eaturea ShimanoYouth Series or the kids(TrainingWheel Division included).Allparticipantsn this divisionThe four mile loop consistsof halfdouble- track and half single track with somerocky technical sec-tions, shortsteephills, andtight switchbacks ncluding the DeadDog Trail. The coursecrosses he pavedpark road at threeplaces.Pre- riding the course s highly recofilmended.
