Single / Dual Tray Conveyors Enhance order processing throughput with the option of 2 tray conveyors the shuttle robot will transport 2 trays of samples simultaneously improving tray exchange time.

Single / Dual Shuttle Robotics 2 shuttle robots in the store make it possible to achieve a 2x throughput increase if the configuration also includes multiple tube selectors.

Up to 16 picking stations The option of up to 16 picking stations provides the flexibility to increase throughput and/or labware types. The modules available include 3 or 4 lane multi-tube selectors, vial selectors, plate selectors and the acoustic tube selector supporting the picking of FluidX™ AcoustiX™ Sample Tube - Labcyte® Echo® Qualified Consumable.

Acoustic Workflow Compatible The Acoustic tube selector is tested for robustness with extensive pick and place cycles. It will pick and place 3 tubes at the same time for increased throughput and has been developed alongside the AcoustiX™ Sample Tube.

Automation Interface Module (AIM) for downstream processing

The AIM delivers samples on a 6 Position SBS Rack Tray on its external diving board location. Any samples that can be presented onto SBS format racks (whether tubes, vials or plates) can be interchanged in this manner and as a result this system is compatible with 96, 384, and 1536 plate formats.

3 / 4-Lane Selectors to minimize Automation idle times

A 4-lane selector allows a return order to be reformatted back into high density storage trays and at the same time as cherry picking an order for output on the same picker. This will reduce order processing time and improve the efficiency of the store.

Automation Interface Module (AIM)

INTRODUCTION

The AIM delivers samples to (or conversely, receives samples from) a Brooks 6 Position SD Rack Tray on its external diving board location.

Any samples that can be presented onto SBS format racks (whether tubes, vials or plates) can be interchanged in this manner.

The AIM therefore provides a means of directly interfacing the store with some external automation/system.

STRATA™ SAMPLE MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE

Integrated system control software (LIMS, automation scheduler, …) would use the Strata API (Application Program Interface) to request sample movement in and out of the AIM.

INTRODUCTION

The Brooks Next Generation SampleStore™ has introduced support for the new FluidX™ AcoustiX™ Sample Tube, a Labcyte™ Echo™ Qualified Consumable. A step change in Compound Sample Management.

The new 4-lane selector permits multiple order processing and continuous picking. 2 tray positions are utilised for UHD (Ultra High Density) store trays and 2 positions are allocated to SBS I/O trays.

To support the new 2D4 Quad Code for tube identification, the Imaging module has also been adapted to a higher resolution camera for consistent labware Identification.
