1. Identify the rashi of the Lagna: this describes the nature of the person.
Notice if any grahas are in the Lagna: this further colors the nature of
the person.
2. Identify the ruling graha of the Lagna (Lagnesha) and its bhava and
rashi placement.
• Bhava placement is an important area of life
• Rashi placement will further color the personality
• Identify the bhava and rashi placement of Chandra. Bhava
placement tells us where the person seeks emotional connections in
life. Rashi placement says something about the nature of the
emotional self.
• For each remaining graha, identify its bhava and rashi placement.
Bhava indicates through which area of life the significations of the
graha will play out. Rashi placement colors the expression of the
graha.
