Dear Mr. Sankey,

In accordance with your instructions, United States Test Laboratory conducted Ballistic Resistance Test of four complete sets of body armor of Armorshield LLC, Model AS-VGT3-3A, Lot 1103,which were received on March 31, 2005. Testing was not witnessed by representatives of NLECTC.Testing was not witnessed by a representative of Armorshield LLC.

The testing, which was authorized by NLECTC, was conducted in accordance with the requirements of NIJ Standard-0101.04, Ballistic Resistance Testing of Police Body Armor, dated September, 2000, and all changes, verbal and written, authorized by NLECTC as of the date of the testing. The results of this test are to be used to determine the compliance of the armor in conjunction with the U. S. Department of Justice’s voluntary compliance testing program for armor intended for use by Law Enforcement officers. United States Test Laboratory is not empowered to issue or deny this compliance status; however, the attached data indicates that this sampling of Model AS-VGT3-3A, Lot 1103, did satisfy the ballistic requirement of NIJ Standard-0101.04 prerequisites to issuance of compliance status for threat level 3A protection.

The test samples and a copy of this report are being forwarded to NLECTC, and you may expect their formal notification promptly. Please refer to USTL report number 05N048.

Testing was not witnessed by representatives of NLECTC.Testing was not witnessed by a representative of Armorshield LLC.

The testing, which was authorized by NLECTC, was conducted in accordance with the requirements of NIJ Standard-0101.04, Ballistic Resistance Testing of Police Body Armor, dated September, 2000, and all changes, verbal and written, authorized by NLECTC as of the date of the testing. The results of this test are to be used to determine the compliance of the armor in conjunction with the U. S. Department of Justice’s voluntary compliance testing program for armor intended for use by Law Enforcement officers. United States Test Laboratory is not empowered to issue or deny this compliance status; however, the attached data indicates that this sampling of Model 1012-GR-4 w/AS-VGT3-3A, Lot 1205/1205, did satisfy the ballistic requirement of NIJ Standard-0101.04 prerequisites to issuance of compliance status for threat level 4 protection. A complete ballistic limit test was not completed. A complete penetration could not be achieved at the elevated velocities. The ballistic limit test was terminated when excessive chamber pressures occurred.
